Yes you can write whatever in your own post...and make it seem liek someone said something they didn't...
BUT when you click the little up arrow next to the quotes name...it takes you to the original quote and it can never be altered by anyone else.

That arrow can be used to take quote from one thread to another and "cite" the thread and place in conversation it too place.

Thanks, man. I really feel old, now. I'm OK with it, though.

I spent $200 on a Bluefish controller and wired up everything for effortless dimming and adjustment. I used it once to dim for a day or two, then set everything to 100% and never touched it again.

moral of the story: dimming is like having two dicks. most people will rarely have a use for the second dick. but every once in a rare blue moon, you go home with 2 chicks, and that second dick becomes really useful. just my 2c.
To be fair. besides dimming it does serve as a great all in one multi channel timer.

I don't know how internet forums work, and anyone who operates outside of my basic understanding should be banned, because the rest world should only exist how i perceive it
FIFY

Since this thread has already been derailed over peoples lack of understanding of how forums work, let me break it down for you. Someone wrote something ridiculous. I then quoted that person, and changed it to my interpretation of what they wrote(normally, this is done by writing something equally ridiculous....wait isn't that what i did?). I included the acronym FIFY to let everyone who viewed my post know that i had modified the original quote. see above for another example. I simply made a little poke at someone, like i just did at you. The name calling and random questions that google could answer were the only actual issues after my post. @Greengenes707 I apologize for my post bringing a bunch on nonsense from people who haven't heard of google. Back on topic, I think drivers that run 4 or 8 cobs in the 35-40 w range might be the ticket. I just finished my first run using 16 3590 cobs at around 25w each, using 2 meanwell drivers over a 4x5 area. I pulled right around 1.5 lbs in this space off just under 400w. This kills in GPW(around 1.75), but not the best use of space. I have another 2x5 area using 8 cobs w/ lenses @ 450 watts(dim wires capped for the extra 25w per driver). I regularly pull 1lb from this space, or around 1 GPW So for me somewhere in the vicinity of 35-40 w per cob would probably be the best use of space and energy.....I would think i can't be the only one?

1050ma for 61% with 3590 CD bin. it has taken me a while, but I have come to realize : for a personal garden of any decent size 100sqft ++ going 700ma to gain that extra 3% just isnt worth it for the majority of us paying 15 cents per KWH. Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, sure go 700ma. But I dont think many people are going 700ma anymore, especially with Realstyles & SupraSPL not actively posting and promoting the drive current.

900ma / 1100ma are more interesting to me.

The issue with most of Meanwells 1050ma offerings is the extra voltage that goes un-used in 9 out of 10 configurations.
hlg185 1050: 190v runs 5.5 cxb
hlg240 1050: 238v runs 6.9 cxb (best example, driver may or may not fire the 7th cob @34.5v)
hlg320 1050: 305v runs 8.8 cxb ( but not 9. I tried. )

their entire 1050 cc line has too much voltage for max driver efficiency cxb setups. This is a worthy issue that custom drive current LSD drivers could solve.
-Give me a 1150ma LSD driver that runs 5 cxb @ 34.5v and 99% utilization.
would filling in the remaining voltage with 4000K xp-g3s make this more attractive?

got my 2 replacement drivers in hand now.
thanks PLC.
this deal was more of a BOGO free a month later. lol
Thank you.
Exactly. They work fine on full power, so it's not a door stop. We figured no one would have an issue getting a driver or 2...more out of the deal. LSD was very kind and helpful through the whole thing, they did the right thing, and that allowed us to more easily too.

I got my drivers on Monday. Post office ripped half the side off on one side of the box. Flipping idiots. No damage to the drivers though. Thank You PLC.
Awesome! Thanks you. Love USPS rates...not a fan of their handling. They should have all been quarterbacks.

as a past PO worker , trust me add tape to the free boxes & envelopes don't trust the self adhesive strips
a couple pennies of tape on a free priority box is cost effective ,
as I did have a ebay business 7 years ago so i have seen both ends of this issue

I never rely on the USPS boxs seal. Always tape well.
I'm sure some are fine, and don't mean to generalize.
But I have handed the lady a box and her turn right around and toss it 10+ yards into the bin and turn back to me and ask if I wanted a receipt.

All the seams were taped. The box just got snagged on something and it ripped the side open. None of the taped seems were open.

I like their rates to but a little pride in your work goes a long way. And so does one or two idiots who are only concerned with getting a pay check. If that women worked for me I would be tossing her 10 plus yards towards the unemployment office. I dont want to be around people like that. They get me in a bad mood. Lazy people PO me to.

Keep up the good work GG. Word of mouth is huge. I have tracked referrals 14 deep from the first job I did. That is where the money is. When people give you free advertising and good workmanship and attitude sell your stuff for you.
