Are those 6 tubes on the first picture your air lines from your pump to the air stones?
One line has air stone . 2 are diy air tubes ( burn the tip the put needle holes in it), 2 air just tubes with no air stone so I think it's just moving the water mainly.

I was given like 8 of these air pumps so I thought that using at least 3 would help bring more oxygen at the very least since I only have 1 air stone to actually produce bubbles. The babies seem to love it, so I think that it's working.

you can run chlorine to help with the roots. iv been having great results, roots stay nice and white as i dont have dark buckets. plants dont seem to mind either. also whats up with that fan i see on the floor? thats not whats cooling the light is it? doesnt seem like thats going to work very well.

The fan IS COOLING THE HPS sad to say. I don't have a inline fan so that's what I got now. I had it at the top shelf but it stayed hot in the closet, so I put it down on the floor where it's cooler and it seems to work a little better. I have another air duct connected to my ac vent for emergency use when it gets over 84 degrees in the closet. I'll show more pics of the ducting set up.

get an inline fan and run it in a " pull " configuration. remove the duct from the light to the floor. evac hot high air from the room through the light and allow fresh cool air into the whole room. later on upgrade to carbon exhaust and better fan. Evac hot exhausted and scrubbed air out of room.

please when posting more than one large picture use the thumbnail feature, your pics are large and its annoying in the thread. Youll see the thumbnail option when your pics are uploaded before you post the reply.

Dont post thumbnails they suck. I like full pics on my phone. It's his thread, he can do what he wants.

whats the living situation here? that set up doesnt seem optimal for future conditions. the air flow with the type of flex air duct line your using is far from favorable for your conditions. too many kinks and bends.

IF you must use that ac vent to blow air into the grow area... i would recommend that you get some card board, about two pieces just larger than the ac vent. Cut out a hole in the card board slightly smaller than the flex duct that your using and then place the duct into the cardboard. then tape up the card board over that ac vent. you can also remove that ac vent frame, and screw in the card board over that using some scrap plastic pieces to use as washers or so. The point is to make a better seal but still thats far from an appropriate set up. the way you have it set up, you dont have as much pressure blowing cold air through your duct as you could have.

Yeah I'm very well aware of the set up man it's definitely not how I want it but it's what's I got to work with. The idea is to get a inline fan to get the hot air out as efficiently as possible , keep my temps down in the closet 75 or so and keep my rez under 68. so basically my main issue is heat

in the mean time you dont really need a 600w blasting those fairly small plants... you could get away with a 250w cfl or a small led ufo.

Week 2 update... Since my rez temps were around 78 degrees I decided to buy some hydro guard and bio cozyme and a food grade thermometer. I changed my res added a frozen gallon of water and brought my temps under 69. Seems like the plants are recovering from being stressed to hell for the time being.
