I'm just outside of The Cone of Probability. We will get some rain from it, but not much else as long as it sticks to the projected path.

I lived in SoFla for about 8 months. Of the 4 hurricanes that came ashore that year, 3 hit my town. I wasn't there the next year, when a soon to be famous hurricane made first landfall in the US in the same town.

Ok, infamous hurricane; Katrina.

That would make it easier. The ones I was looking at {back in the 80's} would pump water from one well into the other. It was a long time ago, so don't really remember exactly how it worked, but there were water lines in the floors and on the roof. I have a book somewhere in my library on underground houses that it was featured in.
Hydronic heating and cooling can be very efficient. In the case of my unit I'm getting the benefits of both in one. After all, that's MY heat; I've already paid for it so I want as many bites at it as I can get!

That was a tough stretch. We had five of them hit the state one year along there. None in the last 10 years though. It is cyclical. We will see more bad years in the future.

I moved down to New Orleans from Houston when people started going back right after Katrina. Company I was working for had a workshop being built on the West Bank in which I was the Service Delivery Manager, fun times, Not.

Tough stretch for a lot of the world around that time with mud slides, earthquakes, fires, the whole gambit of shit storms.
Oh, the world is still throwing shit storms, nothing's changed there, lol
The other day my 88 year old Mamma was telling me all the shit going on in the world was a sign of the end days. I told her it was a sign of everyone having a smartphone to record the shit that has always been going on.
