Lol ya with them. The small greenhouse was just for tester strains. I'm sure they're hella root bound though, they have huge tap roots going through the container into the ground. Most my plants are in 300 gallon containers.Holy shit ur gonna keep them in 2 gallons?. Nice plants buddy ur rockin it.

Thanks man! How your grow going this year? Captain jacks dead bug brew. In my experience a greenhouse &/or shade Clothe house works best.. Grasshoppers are a bitch! I'll be building hoop houses over mine soon to keep the rain off and bugs at bay.beast mode bro! you use something to keep the swarm of grasshoppers at bay? Yessir. They've always finished up for me down in southern co.. Even my heavy sativas, although I've got 1-2 plants this year that I'll probably have to greenhouse + heater for them to finish properly. 95%+ of the strains finish up great though. I've already harvested two of my strains - they all started blooming really early this year. I've had friends who've grown outdoors in northern co who say you pretty much need a greenhouse + heater to finish up there.nice! that's in CO? they finish up before first frost?
i tried one outdoors in my greenhouse last year but she never finished. i thought about a heater but it seemed like the lack of enough sunlight in early october was my real problem, not the cold. Thanks man! What about a heater and supplementing lighting on cloudy days? Idk, just a thought. The heat def. helps a lot though in my experience. When do you all usually get frost? Im at 9500 feet, but really far south west, our first frost is usually end of October/early November. Haha ya you got it, about a pound! I'll be happy with 4-5 off that plant, I'd say it'll be in that range, maybe a little more.i tried one outdoors in my greenhouse last year but she never finished. i thought about a heater but it seemed like the lack of enough sunlight in early october was my real problem, not the cold.
i'm at close to 9000 ft though so i get colder temps sooner than you.
nice work though! what does a plant that size yield roughly? i know, i know. about a pound? hahaha.
i'd have to do some creative wiring to be able to run heat and lights out there. it's a good bit away from my house. but to get that much off one plant would be well worth it!What about a heater and supplementing lighting on cloudy days? Hell ya man! I've always ran propane heaters, but I'm also off grid so that's just easier for me. Yeah I've got a feeling we'll have an early winter this year, some trees around here are starting to yellow already to. I hope not though!i'd have to do some creative wiring to be able to run heat and lights out there. it's a good bit away from my house. but to get that much off one plant would be well worth it!
i was late to plant this year for my tomatoes cause of some cold weather in mid May. we usually have our first snow by mid October? our aspens in our yard are already yellowing which seems earlier than normal.
you are giving me somehting to think about this winter though for sure! some early finishing indicas might do the trick.
as in how? like covering the greenhouse to block light to shorten the days prematurely?Ever thought about light depping to beat the frost?
Yeah exactly! And if done later in the season id think you could get away with only doing it for a month or so then let the natural light cycle take care of the rest?as in how? like covering the greenhouse to block light to shorten the days prematurely?
that might work. next time i'm at harbor freight, time to pick up some huge tarps!Yeah exactly! And if done later in the season id think you could get away with only doing it for a month or so then let the natural light cycle take care of the rest?
