Had a hot one today. It's cooled down to a hair under 90F with 46% humidity. Forecast low of 66F with 10% chance of rain tonight. We have had 3 or 4 nights in a row of lows in the 60's. I camped on two of them, and had to dig out that 2nd sheet one of the nights.

Wow, I must not get out enough... I've never seen anyone pour cob into a form, or use wire as a binder. I guess my view of it has been limited, just old school hay clay and sand. Very cool. :)
I've used forms to make a few rocket stoves. Five gallon buckets mainly, but also wooden frames with cardboard lining. With that I found out your frame can't have too big of gaps, or the cardboard will be bent out of shape,

On the fireplace I started out with the heavy wire from three political signs for the reflective shape, and bent some old wore out 2X4 wire over that. Then I packed the mud around it free hand. But the top got too wide for the bottom, so I added the {equally wore out} old sheets of tin and started pouring. I have a couple pieces of fork ended rebar to add, then I can finish it up.

Good afternoon. It sunny and hot here in NW Florida. 89F with 54% humidity at 1330. A forecast high of 91F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 68F tonight. I got back in the garden this morning after taking the month of August off. I found deer like mild peppers much better than the hot ones. And they also like corn.

I was on the tractor, so that means my mp3 player was in action. I've posted so many Canned Heat songs, I had to look way back for this one.

You can go on Accuweather, click on month forecast and see a truly long range forecast for laughs. My forecast shows no rain until October 11. Couldn't have ordered up a better long range forecast.:-P

37f out right now, possible frost tonight. Guess it's supposed to warm up after this weekend, I hope so. Another four weeks before a hard frost would be nice.
Damn man. That is early, no? My week of lows in the 60's is over. I see one 69F 10 days out. Every other night is in the 70's again. The saving grace is that only three days are forecast to be in the 90's. So maybe summer's back is almost broken.

I got to work at 1100, and after a short safety meeting, started setting out chairs. I went slow enough to keep from getting too sweaty, but it was still warm. At 1410, it's partly cloudy, 91F with 51% humidity. Forecast high of 92F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 71F tonight.

One thing helping me, I was working in the shade. This is the view looking up.

As soon as it clicks over to midnight in a few minutes, my 10 day forecast is going to read, "Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm, Chance of a Thunderstorm and Chance of a Thunderstorm. The Bag Seed Testers might not make it through that stretch, but I'm damn glad my stuff is just now getting started.
