Is she ready? (pics)

you should burp 2wice a day for 15-25min each time and do this for atleast 2weeks....the longer the better...u can cure for months if you want to...brings out more taste,better smoke and just plain goodness!!
 
no not yet...i'm hoping to get a scope tonight. hopefully will be able to get some pictures of the trichs. it's 9:24pm the lights don't come on til 12:30am. i can't take pics until then.
 
i borrowed a small scope from a friend but it's only 10x. the trichs look clear but this plant is pretty old. will trichs go back to clear after they change amber if they lost it's potency? damn im paranoid i may have waited to long to harvest this bitch.
 
The color change of trichs -

They start out clear, move to cloudy then clear up again this time with a small streak of amber down one side. When you harvest during this cycle is up to you, with most people pulling when cloudy to different %s of amber.

I myself flush with clearex and water for a period of 7-10 days prior to the karate chop. Or you could use straight water for a period of 10-14 days. It is not a stupid question. If you don't flush then your end result will have good looking buds that taste like fertilizer.
 
I recently smoked some from last year that this guy was really proud of. We light it up and the shit starts sparkling all over the place like a little firecracker. I'm thinking 'wtf???'

Turns out he had fertilized his crop right up to harvest, the plant was loaded with nitrogen.....

Nasty headachey weed. I put the 1/2 oz he gave me in the tipee fire, the spirits can smoke that shit - no way I'm going to let my family smoke it. Taught me well the value of the good flush :)

ok sweet then maybe i'll be ok. :) i just bought a hand held 30x scope from ebay. hope it comes soon.
 
That really looks ready... and I think the rest of the colas/buds can't be too far behind. Maybe you should just harvest all of it. However, if the other buds really are THAT far behind, then it will be ok if you just harvest the one cola and let the rest mature a bit more.

I started flushing her two days ago with just water and molasses. Thanks for the input. :)

The bottom buds aren't too far behind. i'm flushing her now and will be harvesting her within 2-3 days. i'm waiting for my scope to come.

wow that's just nasty. don't worry i'm flushing her real good before i chop her.

rushed and unflushed is a NO NO.
 
Hey everyone she has been butchered. We harvest most of the whole plant. She's hanging out to dry now. There's a few smaller nugs left on the plant. Here's some photos.
