I wanted my autos to bud early, gave them bud nutes. Heard thats what you do. Ended up runting 3 of them they just now are showing some decent growth. I will get a fat blunt off them if lucky.

You don't even realise how many future problems this has prevented lol.

It's all good homie. My feels are well intact.

Yes! That's why I'm using them. The container the cups are sitting on is a 5 gallon smart pot mix of coco and perlite. I'm going to put one plant in there and the rest I'll just see what they can do in the cups. I might put the other cups inside solid red cups since I hear light isn't good for roots.
Yeah a light proof container would be great. You can buy 1 gallon grow bags pretty cheap that drain good. A piece of pvc is good for a single cola also. Rubberband a cloth over the bottom real tight for drainage. 1 ft of 6 inch pvc holds a gallon I believe.

That's thinking outside the pot...I might try that but I don't have a lot of room, so I want to see if I can fill my grow space with one plant using LST and get a bunch of colas. It's all just an experiement. If I can just successfully harvest anything I will consider this a success.

Ok what the hell is that white little foam thing inside the cup? And do you have drain holes at the bottom of the cups?

Hi guys! First grow here and I finally got a seedling to sprout. I'm growing hydroponically with coco coir and perlite. It's a feminized Northern Lights strain. I would love any input on its health. It seems pretty healthy to me so far. I haven't watered it in a few days and the coco is still very moist toward the bottom but has started drying slightly on the cup. I think this might be because of bad circulation (it's in my closet) so I added a small fan. When should I water this again and should I use nutrients at half strength? (haven't used any thus far just distilled water.) Any knowledgeable input is appreciated. I'm really enjoying this I just don't wanna mess it up haha.

Looks good man. Just tape up the cups so your roots won't be exposed. Looks better than my first set-up, lol.

I would have started out with a simple grow with pots and potting soil first and gotten my first grow under my belt before going to the expense of hydroponics and the many problems you may encounter if you don't have a proper set up...will the closet door be open for fresh air?

Thanks!

In retrospect I wish I had started with potting soil. Right now I just have a dehumidifier, humidifier, ionizer, and fan in the closet to control the environment with the door shut most of the day. I would leave it open but the light causes a terrible glare. I'll buy a curtain tomorrow. My biggest question that I failed to explain properly in the OP was when the seedling will start needing nutrients. I have read conflicting reports that the seeds come with enough nutrients to last until the second set of leaves come in and some say to just follow the instructions on the nutrient bottle but half whatever it says even for seedlings.

That's unfortunate. You don't want to hit a midlife crisis, look to your wife and wish that you had standards, because you could have had a Sid instead. Haha
I divorced me wife 2 yes ago around this time.(married 6 yrs)
I've since taken up cocaine and Xanax as hobbies

And gotten me a 20yr old baby momma

Does that count as a midlife crisis?
