If you force a fem seed to hermi those seeds will be more prone to herm as well correct? The reason I'm asking is iI'm looking for a chocolate tai hybrid but can't seem to find non fems .

If you want to make your own female seeds check out colloidal silver. There's no need to stress a plants so bad it hermies.

[QUOTEI trim everything but a bud or 2 "evergreengardener, post: 13004448, member: 926694"]Thats exactly what your doing with colloidal silver stressing it so it seeds it self if you leave a bud on a plant after you harvest the rest of the plant most times it will throw bananas to seed it self it's a survival thing[/QUOTE]

So if i trim everything but a few on bottom will that still work?

Yeah if you leave the lower branches with a few small buds when it gets over mature it will throw out a nanner or three this will produce more seeds. I think it takes like 5/6 weeks for those seeds to mature. And at the end of that you might harvest viable seeds both male and female no way to know what your going to get. With the silver you start spraying when it is still in veg ( if you already know it's a female only ) and spray until hmmmm ahh fuck I can't remember. But this can be done on one or two branches to collect pollen from, this pollen will only contain female hormones xx use that pollen on some lower branches of the next grow and if you did everything prefect and the stars line up lol u get female seeds. Are at least I think that's right but I've only read about it , if this ain't right I apologize cuz I'm not 100% sure .

Peace out Bare

Off the top of my head its probably a similar product to col. silver, if you knew what the active ingredient was it would be easy to google, probably a lot of threads on such a thing.

Indoor cherry tomatos are just as hard a grow as weed, dont be offended by comments easily.

there are products on the market to make all reg into female . dont recall the name of it . its was like 10 bucks . https://www.roguehydro.com/products/tiresias-mist-seed-feminizer-1-oz-bottle?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=3985824961&gclid=Cj0KEQjwmri_BRCZpaHkuIH75_IBEiQAIG0rIdprOH5EHnFr1qnseU-BT2huyBZ78qP1lYnN1qkS4RAaAmnm8P8HAQ never used this . but expose to work good . and the directions are a bit fucked up . we know why . i only grow cherry tomatoes . lol.

I dont think many produce seeds by leaving a branch with bud for five weeks past harvest or have time for that though but you never know.

Man I'm not sure if this quote thing is working right it looks like my quote was someone else's and someone else's was mine Idk . But what I was saying about 5/6 weeks , is that is what it would take to hermie a plant and then let it self pollinate and then develop mature seeds . Exactly , it would take forever and no one would do that for what I would consider poor quality seeds . I agree with you , I don't think anyone dose it either , and that's way I was trying to make that point to someone or maybe anyone . Either way I wasn't trying to tell anyone to do that , but actually the opposite .

Id like to give it a go one day but feel like my plant would be dead 5 weeks after harvest and would need a plant that didnt herm for the whole harvest to leave to actually herm. Its not that hard to produce seeds though and clones make it even easier to keep a female.

Yeah I've heard about leaving it past the harvest date and it will grow pollen sacs that will eventually self pollinate the plant, this would probably be the safest/easiest way to do it if it actually works, its like the plants last stand to fight for survival or reproduction! But I don't think you should cause the plant to hermi using the colladial silver method because this can cause the hermaphrodite trait to pass on to its offspring and you really don't want that, I'd rather have some males and some females and choose whether to pluck the males or cross breed with the best female... That would be the best bet, good luck!

Every fem seed for sale was made with colloidal silver from any breeder you like if it's labeled feminized that's how it was made

And when leaving the plant past harvest so it throws bananas the idea is to use that pollen on another plant to make seeds not so it seeds it self since the plant is so close to death it probably wouldn't have time to mature the seeds. The idea is you have a plant harvest it and leave a small branch on the plant it'll keep going throw naners as a last ditch survival mode. Then take that pollen and spread it on a plant you want seeded

Thank you thank you , that's what I was trying to say all along. Not trying to push a point or anything just trying so the scenario of how it might go and how it won't be worth the time and effort. Thanks and have a great day.

Agreed would rather have reg seeds but the strain I want is only in fem seed that I can find hence why I was asking.
