It depends on what new sources you consider "widely discredited". I read several articles this morning that suggest the whole thing is a fraud. The usual suspects (rt, infowars) are backing it up but only offer previous hacks as bona fides. Russia is pretty good at this sort of thing but usually gets sussed out. This guccifer guy is KGB all the way.
