Havest Time?

Day 73 12/12

Nirvana Northern Lights

This is only my second time growing but first time in over a decade so quite rusty. This grow was just a little test to get a feel for it again. I had ordered a loupe but the order didn't go through and I didn't realize it until today.

I know the other plant needs probably another week or so but wasn't sure of the one I have most of the pictures for.

Problems: Never grown with LEDs and burned the plants a lot at the tops, its a really subtle thing and didn't realize it was from the light at first because of the distance (about 12") when it happens so pay close attention because the damage is permanent! Also nutrient burn a little but I think it was because they were stressed from the light so weren't really taking up nutrients because I was doing 1/8th to 1/2 strength the whole way of the AN line.

In the last week the smell has entirely changed. Its changed to this crazy berry smell, I haven't smelled anything quite like it so it's hard to describe. I had the strain Black Romulan once and it reminds me of that a lot.

Plant 1 (I think ready or maybe a couple days)

That's a problem if you don't know when they were started.
You can do an easy search on the strain to find out how many flowering days...

I just reordered a loupe, my payment or something didn't go through last time. I might just be waiting a few days to harvest so I can check.

My phenotypes are a little different from each other and that's the problem others have had with Nirvana NL. They post a 7-9 week flowering. It seems to vary from plant to plant though.

From what I have gathered for the Indica pheno its around 55-60 days flowering. 60-70 for the more sativa. The real question is, When is it considered flowering? Some people count pistils, others flip date, others when they start to stretch.

I start the flowering days count when pistils first start to show...Usually about 7 days after the light flip.

Plant #1 looks like she is ready for harvest, pistils are red and drawing in to the calyx, Calyx are swelling and filling in, Buds are full...

Hardly a problem, nobody should be going off of breeders flowering times anyway they're usually widely inaccurate or only based on certain pheno's

First plant could be harvested now if you really want to but personally i'd let that one sit for like 3 more days or something, second plant definitely looks like it needs at least one week more

Fully agree, and almost said something to that effect... Really, it's hardly a problem!
