Sit down or stand up.... tray or bucket below you, don`t bend your neck or back just stay comfy

hold the buds but the stick.... leave some stick on its nicer to hold that during drying saves your fingers getting sticky

So I hold the branch out in front of me, cut off all the big leaves and some of the shade leaves....... I leave most of the sugar leaf on for drying as you can cut that off later and make food`s with it or smoke it if it smells good

Told you it was a cunt to trim man

and I told you to start cutting fan leaves off of it

if you had less fan leaves on it you could of............. put some ball balls on it.... it`d either look like a tomato plant or drop and angel or star on top and people think you have a huge xmas tree set up for xmas, drop some xmas lights on it....... Good Old Mike no one would suspect you have a stinky sticky xmas tree

next year feed it from 2/3 weeks after it sex`s up

Hows them buds smelling when your trimming them ?? You smoked any of the sticky stuff getting on your hands and scissors yet ?

Early harvest sucks but fuck it dude...... you did it with some old beans you now have some herb to enjoy and half a shrub outside still :)
Thanks man. No haven't tried anything.

The big ones still out there look really good and are full of trichome. From what I've trimmed thus far I'd say the buds are just too damn small. I mean I trim the leaves down but there's mostly a bunch of hairs and not a lot of bud. A lot of it is very leafy I believe due to harvesting early. There's dust all over the leaves but I think it's gonna smoke rough. We will see soon I guess. Any experience with this? I'm going to post some pics here- let me know what your thoughts are if you all don't mind.

Spent a good two hours trimming today. I now have a good six foot long row of these suckers hanging. Can't wait to harvest the big ones. Kinda waiting now since the shrub is only 4' high and can't be seen anymore from the side I saw the guy at. Hopefully they'll think it's gone if they come back.

Anyways check these out. Should I be cutting all that leaf off? It's full of "sugar" and would be a major pain to get any cleaner I think. 20161104_175310.jpg20161104_175252.jpg20161104_175333.jpg20161104_174509.jpg20161104_180521.jpg20161102_135114.jpg20161030_183543.jpg

i would freeze all that trim and small buds to make dry ice hash out of . very easy. get a piece of 120 silk screen material , a couple of yards is enough for a long time. get a clean 5 gallon bucket with a lid, and 4 or 5 lbs of dry ice. break your dry ice up into smaller pieces, then put it in a covered bowl in the freezer. put a big double handful of frozen trim/popcorn in the middle of a one yard square of the silkscreen material, and about a cup worth of dry ice. i like to tie it shut with a rubberband, and catch the material under the lid so i can shake the whole thing for about 3 minutes, HARD.
then i set the bag of shake aside, and use a card to scrape all the kief off the inside of the busket. you'll be surprised what you get out of it. add just a little more dry ice, shake it again for a minute, take what you get, throw that bunch in the trash, and repeat till you run out of trim.
the stuff you'd be doing this to would be crappy smoke, but you'd be very surprised how many trichs are on it.
if you did all that trim and popcorn i wouldn't be surprised at all if you got a chunk of pretty good hash bigger than both your thumbs.

Also I know I'm not posting like crazy like I was before, and I know many of you were following this thread. As I said before Halloween is a big event here, and then the world series in addition to all that trimming. I'm friggen wiped out. I'll make sure I keep you updated and post more pics this weekend.

That said I want to sincerely thank any and all of you for contributing to my education over then past month. I appreciate all the advice whether I took it or not. Its been a fun experience and I'm totally hooked. I'll be growing for sure next year and am looking forward to it.

I did cut a hunk of this tree and place it in water today. Hoping it will root without using hormone. Kinda want to keep it alive for next year of possible.

Well that sucks balls. Id have "words" with the neighbor and maybe give em a sample to keep their mouth shut next year..

All that work an you had to harvest early. Quiet a bit early to judging by all the white pistils.

O well.. she will be a nice speedy high.

Trimming sucks- imagine 10 of those? Gets even worse when u get older...

yeah the big heads look like 3/4 weeks early maybe 2 weeks to some and the looser stuff is 4 to 6 weeks early

It`s dusty not moldy right ?

Some people gently lower the fresh cut or fresh trimmed branches into clean water and then lift them out to "wash" the buds

some people use 3 buckets and have baking soda and lemon juice and stuff in one or 2 of them

but just clean water will do.... some outdoor grow gets full of bird crap and bugs and such a lot of people say washing it gives a better smell and better taste

with indoor I`ve never had to do it as the plants are kept very clean, done it a few times with outdoor if they were dusty or dirty but I normally avoid it if I can can`t get rid of the feeling I`d be washing some of the good smell away, but if the buds are dirty they will normally smell better after a "wash"..... only you can see the buds... maybe wash one of the bigger limbs and compare and then you`ll know what to do when you hack down the rest of the shrub

dust if any should fall off in the drying area. Just a light breeze as its drying seems to agitate it loose. I never seem to see much if any when i get to the dry trim. (i roughly wet trim and then dry and dry trim.)

A good Cure will remove any harshness. Try it early of cause and then try again in 3 months. Will be a big difference.

What I was calling dust is the trichomes sorry about the confusion.

Well if they were 4-6 weeks out I was screwed anyways. Would put me into the middle of December. Highs in the mid thirties by that point here. Oh well. I'll see how the ones out there still do in a couple weeks. Hopefully I can still pull a good amount from them.

The thought that the beautiful lady didn't get to reach her potential is so sad. But for what she was able to do those nugs look nice!
Ever try making hash?

I keep hearing that, but unfortunately no and I have zero interest in doing so. Kinda hoping what's left our there finishes up much much better than what I harvested already. There's more out there than meets the eye in the pics. Leaving it as long as possible.

I survived the craziest day Saturday. One neighbor landlord was on a high lift cutting down a tree and the other neighbor used a ladder to climb on top of his shed and "inspect" the roof shingles. If nothing happened after all that it's either going to make it or get stolen by the creeper peeking over my fence last week. Although I belive if that creeper came back he probably thought I took it down.

even a week makes a difference

I do that sometimes cut a plant down over 2 weeks or so sometimes 3 I`ve had the odd outdoor plants we would just make hand bowls with on a hot day and in the end we`d cut them due to mold or bugs in the winter.......

the early stuff normally likes a long cure to get to be smooth but it can smell a lot better that later in bloom really depends on genetics, food and conditions so many variables

cool that the dust was just the sulphur hairs :)

Haha you Lil rebel you. I feel like there's nothing weirder than the paranoia affected upon us for growing a plant. We had some trees on our land that's bark could numb my face but it was perfectly legal. But it is what it is. Hope the rest of your harvest goes well. I'm sure any time you leave the rest out will help it, weather permitting.
Thanks for bringing us along on your journey! It's definitely been enjoyable! And Go Cubs! Back to the future almost had it right haha

Wasn't lying when I said I haven't smoked in years. Trying to dry trim a little tighter and clean up and jar the first harvest stuff. Rolled a little tobacco out of my cigarette and loaded it up. This shit may be airy and whatever but I am certifiably Fucked up. Holy schikes. One tiny bud and man I'm gone. Not sure I can finish one jar. Wow. 20161107_223315.jpg

It will last awhile then. I give heaps away.

Wife and I smoke but only once a week so we are the same. 3 paper Joint between us and were stoned for 6 hours.

No pain for that long once a week is bliss.

you don't want to put that stuff in jars wet, you gotta let it hang till it starts to feel like its crunchy on the outside, then jar it, and keep cracking the jars daily for quite a while. you jar too soon you get ammonia smell, and possibly mold

Harvested that stuff day before Halloween. Stems just about snap clean off. Following the advice of the masses! I do have a question for you though- will post in a few minutes.

Ok I have one small bud on the shrub still that was kinda stuck in the middle. It's had sun for a while now and has either Deformed and produced a million trichomes, or is moldy, or is infected by pests. Please lay any thoughts on me team! Should I cut the Fucker off and toss? Fyi I've been feeding with that flower girl bud bloom shit religiously, once a week for 3 weeks now. Another tomorrow. Alright I'll upload a bunch of pics here. 20161108_152146.jpg20161108_151817.jpg20161108_150003.jpg20161108_145950.jpg20161108_150003.jpg
