Whatever it is it isn't right. My first thought was right along with you. As I look close though what's throwing me off is the lack of any evidence the leaves are affected by it, they remain the same shape, size, etc. Also, the shit is almost clear. Like ice. Strange and unusual. Thanks for the input! Kinda have to make a decision fast if it is indeed negative.i would very much like to tell you thats frost (the good kind) but i don't think it is. don't take my word for it, i'm sure plenty of people will be along soon to chime in, but that looks like some kind of mold to me.
sorry
Either way, you had a good season and have more than enough smoko for the year. A little early isnt bad if you like to smoke and do stuff. I like the Sativas or an early Indica for the speedyness.Removed. Going to angrily and regretfully harvest the rest if the shrub over the next few days. The extra couple weeks definitely helped mature the remaining buds, but they are still way early. Had so much potential to be massive if left another 2-3 weeks I believe. All remaining buds seem to be mold free, hopefully none develope in the coming days.
Yep I'm not super upset, just disappointed as I'd like to see the huge wide all bud finish. The ones I took last week are lots of hair and leaf and small buds under it. Trimmed a lot of the shit off and have a jar half filled with dense sugar leaf. Whatever I trimmed after it dried before jarring.Either way, you had a good season and have more than enough smoko for the year. A little early isnt bad if you like to smoke and do stuff. That one bud was growing by itself and was isolated it seems. Weird. No other issues to speak of yet.with the mold you sometimes have to dig into the bud to make up your mind
Some molds seem to make the thric`s amber up loads but they are not healthy for you
It`s a balance between the buds making a nice brew inside them and the mold that`s growing outside and in the roots that`s bad for you
can be very hard to spot sometimes
I`m in the UK and on monday I took down what will be my last outside harvest of the year... just got too cold and foggy I knew mold was about to become a huge issue
I do think with a 400w to 600w hps and a 100w heater I could run a 3m x 2m x 2m green house tent all year round.... might set something like that up by next winter.
Looking good Mike.... that stuff will really blow your head off once its had a month in the jar, normally early harvest is more of a head high the body buzz developed a bit more later in bloom but genetics and environment play big rolls in deciding that
Have eight of the 32oz ball jars completed now. Going to need about 40-50 I'm estimating. How in the Fuck do people process these large grows? I'm baffled. It's a pain in the ass. Maybe I'm over Fucking with the buds. Trying to cut off most of the small leaf before jarring. All I know is I hit it 1-2 hours at a time and I do about two jars and end with a headache.
No shit. lol. Been talking about it for weeks. No choice in the matter. Those plants look to me to be about 2-3 weeks early
Advice is much appreciated. For example these here I have in front of me right now are still more I harvested a while back. Dry now and I've been cutting off most of the leaf you see here. Should I not be doing that? Takes forever. I have a whole jar of the leaf from buds like in this picture. You can see there's trich all over them. I bet a quarter of the jar is that keif shit.Takes me about an hour to trim up 100g to 300g that`s of good plant mid level stuff I`ve had some stuff where an oz will take you an hour so you don`t bother.
early harvest is almost as hard as trimming something that`s had bug issues or where all the sugar leaves are yellow or white due to bugs or other issues
So you are doing one of the harder trim jobs
Good structure matters for making trimming easy if you have large buds that don`t over lap you can speed trim a branch then let it dry then just pretty up the last few bits before you jar it up
Mike just cut off the fan leaves and the shade leaves.... any sticky sugar leaves or anything that smells nice like hempy or fruity or weedy leave on... its the crappy leaves that smell like dried grass that dry to dust in a few days that you really want to focus on getting out...
but yeah trimming and potting up are a pain and I normally do both on the same day then give my back/neck/knees a rest for 1 to 4 weeks, lol
Ah probably just one sticky ass bud that`s on a main supply stem getting way more light and way more plant sugars now, I mean that plants root to green ratio must be epic now you`ve trimmed so much off of it.... like taking the load out of a truck... them buds are running NOS now man, lol
I have only one clone going. It's a rather large stem about 3/8" thick. Growing roots about 1/4" so far. It's pretty happy in water on the window sill. I'll take a pic tomorrow for you. Wife is in there and I'm in the drug process plant I mean garage lol.Mike, let us know how the clone attempt progresses.
Wow! cant believe it rooted so fast especially when it was in flower stage. She is a champ!I have only one clone going. It's a rather large stem about 3/8" thick. Growing roots about 1/4" so far.
