THC limit here is 50 ng/ml. What is considered a high reading and whats the highest you have heard about?

That limit is the federally mandated limit for the transportation industry.....Truck drivers etc.
It's basically been adopted as "THE" threshold across the country........ANYTHING OVER THAT IS CONSIDERED A FAIL!

Highest.....Unless your a tester in gas chrome or spect, who knows? Any "panel" test does not show a level, only indicating more then the limit. That's what all those tests are calibrated to. They are also the go to testing method.

How do they test a level in "legal" states for driving? Blood test? Or simply test to the fail point? This will be interesting.....I mean to actually get a ng/ml read. It would have to be a blood level test.

Not sure what the question is here... You can pass a saliva test after only six or so hours of not smoking... But... You can also fail one within 24 hours, that's why it isn't an effective roadside test.

Your body cannot go higher than 999 or 1000 ng. That is the highest possible result out of a mass spectrometer.

The effect of THC on each person differs greatly because of our Metabolism .... Each person would have to have a Baseline, there is no one test that would work without a baseline from each person ......

Saliva tests are easily the most forgiving type of test, usually favoring the person being tested. As stated above refrain from smoking as long as you can and you should get around a saliva test.
Now a urine test....that requires a different strategy.

Not worries about a test myself. Im self employed so dont have to worry about that or OH&S issues.

Friend of mine got done with a NG of around 250. He is a light smoker and thinks the reading is high. There doesnt seem much info in regard to readings. and what is high, mid and low.

Ok now you're making more sense lol... So basically it can be looked at like this with some level of accuracy... Every day you smoke you add 30ng to your total and every day you don't you only take away ten... Smoke for only nine days and don't for two or smoke twice a week for five six months and either way you are at 250 ... And that is with an average metabolism, won't leave too much faster if you have a fast metabolic rate but it sure can leave slower if you don't..

We only get a warning and told not to drive if we have THC in our system on the public road in my state. No fine etc. Saliva tests have proven to not really work to well and dont show level of impairment.

He is a truck driver and was tested going into a site (private), was told he had to leave the site and couldnt drive the truck off site so had to get someone else to do that so he could drive back to work were he was told he was fired.
