I think Blondes shiukd put 5k & 27k in the same light w/ a veg switch then the 2 combined would make for a great flower spectrum & finally an all cob light could be used for veg & flower instead of the 35k compromise that's been going around.
If you did that, you would blow away the other cob light companies.
You're already the best price out of the straight cob lights.
I've been suggesting Blondes to anyone that wants a cob only light for awhile now.

Im not sure if i understand correctly but if you tried vegging on a 3k and thought it was doing better, is that because the plant was taller? it will stretch much more under the 3k then the 5k. You dont necasarily want stretch. Keep that in mind.

Yeah I was running down the cost to replicate and it's so close you'd be better off going through them but I would want more options on the COB temps.

You're idea is actually pretty good one.......I'd be all over that especially if it was 5K/3K :)

Day 29 with this light. Girls are looking pretty nice with plenty of frost. I am chasing a bit of yellowing as they can really go through water and nutes with this light.
Looking good! My buddy BigSmo had a yellowing problem under his LEDs too. He cured it by upping his Cal-Mag. Guess it's common w/ LEDs, wheather Burple or white.

Hey buddy, are you using a cal mag product? if not, you need to start using it. I use it right from veg. are you in dirt or coco? what brand? I even foliar feed my cal mag throughout veg and first few weeks of bud.

What are your nutrient and co2 ppms at? looks like you can use more nutes and more cal mag. Foliar feeding cal mag will work quicker then feeding it to the roots.

Your buds looks great though, nice and big, thats what i like to see! nice job so far.

yes, i am using GH trio with cal mag, ph 6.3-6.5 in promix hp, currently ppm of 1200. i was at 600-800 but the yellowing happened quickly. it seems to be getting better. i dont have a co2 meter, i just use a milk jug with sugar, yeast and warm water. not totally sure how effective that is, but it is cheap enough.

Thats a very good suggestions Hybridway. We will take it into consideration. This is what makes this community great.

Thank you for the feedback.
Have you ever thought of lens? 60, 90 degree lens which is suppose to give better penetration but at a lose of .5% I think that depends on the manufacturer. Just wondering which is better and why?

We like that the light output is unobstructed. Our reflectors do a great job of spreading the light out, please check the par map posted above to see the evenness.

thanks

you did the right thing. Those many cobs together can't/shouldn't have lenses.

I had some heat issues and ran most of the time with the outer lights on. So about 600w total. Ended up with 22 ounces. Which is by far my best harvest so far. Still not where i want to be yet but the light itself is awesome. Any issues are purely my errors.
nice one man. I assume you mean you ran with the 4 cobs in the middle turned off right? ya it works excellent like that too, not a bad pull for your first one with it, get the kinks worked out and do even better.

Thanks for the update

All I know is BCBlondes aren't making it very easy to be their customer.

Federal Tax ID just for account registration? (Tax ID not needed if registering through checkout, fair enough.)

The checkout is broken, or the pay gateway is too picky or something, unless it has been disabled for out of stock products, though there is no indication. It says order and it will be shipped ASAP.

Also, contact by email only?

Really not making it easy. This isn't to disparage the company's products (why would I want to place an order if that was the case), but seriously, this is making it more trouble than it's worth.

What are you running for heat sinks if you don't mind me asking? Still think the COB salad is the way to go on these. I like em!

Hmm.... Wonder if it's something on my end, I can't see what it would be, but maybe something I'm not thinking of.
Hey buddy, we are waiting on our lawyers to get the incorporation paperwork finished, PayPal wants this before we do more business.

The tax id thing is to be an affiliate and promote bcblondes website and earn a commission, not required for just buying lamps though.

PayPal is being awkward but soon we will have it figured out, we only have 2 lamps left in stock anyways, 225 watt model.

Next shipment ships on 22nd to us, new models, new pricing, new dimmers etc.

Hope that helps
