What kind of cobs? I assumed the cree's or veros would be able to beat t5s without a doubt. If you're saying t5 gave you better results I'm kinda confused what's going wrong then.

The Philips greenpower production led modules are better than t5 definately, so what makes them better than your cobs? Not sure. Even though the Philips are more expensive, I feel like they were specifically engineered by a massive company to grow lettuce, so why reinvent the wheel when they are already on the market (and honestly they aren't bank breaking)

They worked fine but the plants were staying shorter than with the 6500K T5 GE bulbs. And to flower my autos the 250 watt light just wasn't cutting it for me.

I really want to try the Hortilux Power Veg Bulbs........

I'll keep this build posted here if you guys want. also, i don't really know much about growing with NFT, so any tips would be appreciated. I get the general idea, but would you suggest that i run the pump constantly or intermittently?

I got my nutrients for my lettuce grow here:

it was by far the best deal i have found.

also, i have a bunch more of these lights left. I was thinking about putting them into my grow tent, my tent is for tomatoes, peppers, stalky stuff. You think 4 - 80w cobs (vero 29's) and maybe 6 of these 22 watt t5s would work per side of my 4x8 tent? That would get me about 450 watts per side

I love my eye hortis. I run them every other bulb.

I will say that for what I paid ($390CDN) I am very happy with the Philips Greenpower Production Modules.

I feel confident with the results I get from two of the bars, they need to be multiplied for good yield but they are designed for lettuce and flowers, not for cannabis. so for lettuce and greens I'm super happy.

They in my mind would no doubt be a really good option for veg lights. I don't know how that would play out in reality yet though.

Power Veg. I know they have the full buffet to choose from but my store only carries that one. One day I was moving a fixture and broke two of those... ouch $36 per.

Yeah the cost is what is holding me back I had not run across anyone using them. They worth it?

Run the pump constant in the nft. It is super simple and as long as you have a good slope a no fail approach.
One of my fav methods for sure. Just be sure to keep an eye on your pump that it doesn't crap out on you. That is really the only downfall to it for quick crops like lettuce

When I get to the new place we need to discuss this further this would be a perfect use of my T5 and the 2x4...........

Mom wants organic veggies all year round up north so......

>they won't last forever but they will do good lettuce..we use 8 per 4x4

Pictures or it never happened. ;-) I like T5s for veg but would like to see it.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm going to give them a try in the new year when I set the 8 bulb up again in the 2x4 for veggies. I see Neptunes Harvest on the shelf there above some Beau's Blend ;-)

What T5's are you referring to as Green Power Module being "better than"?
I tried 1 Green Power Module in the past and a single definitely didn't do the trick for growing as I expected it to. Isn't the claim - 1 Module replaces 2 T5 lamps?

No problem! It's an "organically minded" hydro shop, so we carry a little bit of everything.
