You mention responsible gun ownership...And then brag about the easy access you have to your guns if startled from your sleep...

Sorry brudda, having a gun and believing it is more likely to kill you or family members than to protect them is insanity not critical thinking.
Interesting thought. I have owned firearms my entire life and all of my family and friends are safe and still alive. Owning a gun is a deterrent as well for those, especially locally that may do harm.....Ask my neighbors! Owning a gun does not make a person dangerous. What makes gun ownership dangerous more times than not is mental illness, Severe anger issues and the media hyping gun violence. Disarming law abiding citizens won't change the carnage. The only thing that will change is the weapon of choice or illegal firearms.

Thinking you need a weapon to protect yourself in modern society and that the possession possession of that weapon won't have unintended consequences is just stupid. Be realistic guy.
LOL..seriously?....modern society is even more fucked up and dangerous than it was a decade ago. Are you serious?

It couldn't be as stupid as possessing a gun while believing the gun will make you commit suicide or kill your family! You think you don't need a weapon to protect yourself in "modern" society? Move to chicago or hundreds of other high crime communities.

You're kind of proving my point for me man lol.

But again, I don't give a shit about the gun debate. Both sides are retarded. My position of having guns but realizing they are more likely to harm me or someone I love is the only position a critically thinking person can really take.
Of course I have them accessible to me when at my most vulnerable. They don't do much good when locked away. When my wife or i are not home, the Shotty and rifle are locked up. The pistol sometimes locked up and sometimes with me.

Not attacking your view but giving mine.

Problem what problem?

Here is a link to a real story, Washington State legislators have proposed allowing guns in sports stadiums cause you know liquor, sports and guns go together so well. I heard this and I thought wait this is coming from the west coast not the south?

Everyone's been crowing about this for awhile now. I doubt it will get any traction. No way to police it if they could carry. If you can believe it, handstamps were brought up as a way to identify the ones carrying...HANDSTAMPS.... LOL

I don't own any guns so I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem with wondering why OP used upper case letters on the word ACtually.

@Cannaspace (as usual socks and trolls do) threw a flame, then bailed when she could substantiate any of her claims. Won't even post the country she lives in. Pretty chicken shit.
I just googled this "what countries are guns illegal?" and this was the first thing that popped up.

--Australia and England, which have virtually banned gun ownership, have the highest rates of robbery, sexual assault, and assault with force of the top 17 industrialized countries. Fact: The crime rate is 66% higher in four Canadian Prairie Provinces than in the northern US states across the border.

Most anti gun folks have no clue what so ever outside of what they see in the media. They get sad when they see a senseless shooting. They get outraged when they see a mass shooting committed by a nut case. So their only thought is that is despicable. Then they get on the take all guns away bandwagon and have no idea what the bigger picture is or what it would mean if we as a country were disarmed. And quite frankly they don't care; yet they would be the first ones to cry foul after crime increased in their communities or their civil and personal liberties started to get chipped away at....lol

Shotty, handgun, and AR15 within reach of the bed while sleeping.

Suicide? Well, always a possibility for the weak i guess.
being unable to go to sleep without 3 guns handy is a pretty surefire sign of weakness.

this is not to be taken as an endorsement of your asinine statement that only the weak commit suicide though, that's just fucking offensive.

he was a cop man.. hes probably scared some kid he popped for a dime bag is going to come after him
I simply view it as being prepared. I know two different people who have suffered a home invasion. They both owned guns but did not have immediate access when they were needed. One would have been lacking in the firepower to stop the threat even IF he had the opportunity to grab his pistol.

To each his own.
