How much marijuanas is that? Gosh seems like so much.....Please point me to a grow that was HPS and got 1.6g/w

I guess, but i haven't seen many impressive LED grows, and i also have been using LEDs for years and prefer HID lights so yea idk seems like they are massively over hyped and the numbers are over inflated, from my experience looking at this forums a lot of you guys consider shitty larf and trim to be weed and half these people are weighing wet buds to make themselfs look like they got a big buds or something , idk from my experiences LEDs only advantages is better spread of heat and more even light distribution which leads to lack of canopy penetration (law of inverse squares) . LEDs are best for hobby growers that grow with scrogs. He was conservative in his estimates. Take a HPS grower that averages 1 GPW and he will average 1.8 GPW with a 60% efficient COB setup which happens to be affordable at this point in time.
Lifespan? More uniform spread? Better spectrum? Spectrum that doesn't dip hard into one area?
3 Lbs from 850W yeah its a good amount. How much marijuanas is that? Gosh seems like so much.....
You got pictures of said 3 pounds from 850w? That's about as much as people are averaging from a good quality 1kw DE light.3 Lbs from 850W yeah its a good amount.
In what size area?3 Lbs from 850W yeah its a good amount.
You do realize that this technology is rapidly progressing? All they're doing is improving manufacturing, streamlining, then ultimately packing more and more diodes into a tiny 28mm chip. One year ago your only option for a good COB was the CXB3590 for 50-60$ @ 55% efficiency, now you have multiple options, the best one being 30$ for 60% efficiency at the exact same wattage.and i also have been using LEDs for years and prefer HID lights so yea idk seems like they are massively over hyped and the numbers are over inflated
We will see, Ill do by weight after cure as its meant to be done.... Now Idk whos using wet weight or if people dont believe them...The last grow I saw was 1.6G/W from @PerroVerdeI guess, but i haven't seen many impressive LED grows, and i also have been using LEDs for years and prefer HID lights so yea idk seems like they are massively over hyped and the numbers are over inflated, from my experience looking at this forums a lot of you guys consider shitty larf and trim to be weed and half these people are weighing wet buds to make themselfs look like they got a big buds or something , idk from my experiences LEDs only advantages is better spread of heat and more even light distribution which leads to lack of canopy penetration (law of inverse squares) . cmh would be the best choice in a large grow room but in a PU closet grow managing heat may be an issue.some closet growers like myself do not want to put holes in our walls for vents and blower.this winter has been so cold i've actually considered getting a 250 watt CMH to help keep my grow room warm.LED's lack spectrum compared to T5's , most good LED growers use T5's to help their spectrum, i do agree high CRI and a full spectrum is best though. But if you are growing for ultimate quality you can definitely do a whole hell of a lot better than the spectrum LEDs produce, even CMH lights produce a more desirable spectrum. And yes blurple is TERRIBLE, i have several blurple lights and they suck bad. Main issue with T5's is their lack of intensity , they work well but need to be pretty close to the plants to work effectively , especially for flowering. LED's also have this problem.
Hopefully in a 4x4 Time will tell.In what size area?
Look how small his grow area is though...like i said hobby growers....not trying to be mean or anything but it's the truth. We will see, Ill do by weight after cure as its meant to be done.... You guys don't understand that without CO2 plant's can only intake about 800-900 PPFD max, you can't make them intake more they just won't.You do realize that this technology is rapidly progressing? You've been using LED's for years and that's your problem. Try something that came out last month, (Vero 29 Gen 7 Type C) then you can spout your opinions all you want.
that is one of the benefits of T5s better spectrum is anotherI thought the advantage of t-5 was closer spacing so the fixture can put out more light than with fatter bulbs.
How would you fit the bud in there.Hopefully a in a 4x4 Time will tell.
Not trying to be rude , but i highly doubt you can harvest more than 2 pounds from that area even with like 1500 PPFD and CO2, you just need a larger area.Hopefully in a 4x4 Time will tell.
Exactly. I harvest wall to wall crops in a 4x4(led tent) and my best is like 22 ounces, and my plants are from floor to ceiling. I think you guys are a little in a fantasy. How would you fit the bud in there.
@REALSTYLES and @sixstring2112 had some nice cob grows. Although they may be tired of this argument by now lolI guess, but i haven't seen many impressive LED grows, and i also have been using LEDs for years and prefer HID lights so yea idk seems like they are massively over hyped and the numbers are over inflated, from my experience looking at this forums a lot of you guys consider shitty larf and trim to be weed and half these people are weighing wet buds to make themselfs look like they got a big buds or something , idk from my experiences LEDs only advantages is better spread of heat and more even light distribution which leads to lack of canopy penetration (law of inverse squares) . Possibly, but the point is the light is there, I might spread this out to a 5x5 next run with the same lights but that would bring the PPFD down to 945Not trying to be rude , but i highly doubt you can harvest more than 2 pounds from that area even with like 1500 PPFD and CO2, you just need a larger area.
Yea they are nice , but not impressing me over HID grows. They are mostly just small scale growers. Not super impressive like these guys are https://www.instagram.com/p/BOkgSPSgj8C/?taken-by=jungleboyz@REALSTYLES and @sixstring2112 had some nice cob grows. Sounds like a good idea, but do you know what depth that PAR can reach? Remember we live in a 3 dimensional world not 2d so depth is super important, it's why i prefer HID lights over LEDs they give you a better distance to light.Possibly, but the point is the light is there, I might spread this out to a 5x5 next run with the same lights but that would bring the PPFD down to 945
The guy that didn't lie everyone turned their back on. He also grew some of the best cannabis on the site. Not to mention he was on the front lines of this cob tech. At least in that one video he weighed his larf and airy stuff separate. That one guy weighs everything and said yup 6 pounds then showed the bud. Almost shit myself.Exactly. I harvest wall to wall crops in a 4x4(led tent) and my best is like 22 ounces, and my plants are from floor to ceiling. I think you guys are a little in a fantasy.
What even does this mean...? HID is worse for two reasons: The bulb outputs in 360 degrees, therefore there WILL be reflector losses. COB has the potential for much higher intensity and this is because they are ridiculously small and all you need to do is place them closer together.Remember we live in a 3 dimensional world not 2d so depth is super important, it's why i prefer HID lights over LEDs they give you a better distance to light.
