I live in the north east of England. M
y wife has spinal arthritus and i want to grow weed to make some medical cannabis.

The problem is, I have two young kids who I love and i'm afraid of the consequences of being caught. Will social services be involved?

I want to know if this is worth doing. I'll do anything to ease my wifes pain but if there is a chance I wont see my kids i definitely won't do it.

It's hard to grow weed. There's two ways: One and done (plant today in a pot or ground). Harvest by September a very big tree. Or, grow in a tent. 5 weeks to veg, and 8 more weeks to bloom and harvest. That's a lot of moving around and dank wafting smell. 5 weeks into bloom, if you don't have your tent humidity down to below 50%, then it's a perfect humidity for bud rot. So you've got to have a 3M spray suit and canister mask and a $100. jug of Cease™ anti-fungal and spray it once a week, deep into those buds, all the way to a week before harvest.
And the bottom line, weed will probably not help with you wife's spinal arthritis pain. Might help with enough CBD in plants left to bloom until all of the trich's are mostly amber colored, that's CBD.
I thought England had reduced the penalties for pot. If not, don't risk it. Wait until the world decriminalizes the stuff. USA is going that way, pretty soon all of the hashish countries will understand that weed is a cash cow that never stops churning money, four-times-a-year. What other plant does that? Corn? Lima beans? Milo-Mays?, cucumbers, to'mater's?

Find out what the actual charge is for a first offense growing marijuana in your area. You should be able to get that from your local clerk of court or magistrates office. That will tell you exactly what you're facing and whether or not it's worth the risk.

Be sure to note whether or not the amount makes a difference. For instance, I only grow two plants a year here in Georgia. If I were ever caught (which is virtually impossible in my case as I own my own home and it backs up to protected wetlands) it would be a simple misdemeanor, 250 dollar fine and a years probation.

But if I were caught growing 6 plants, that would be intent to distribute. I'd lose my kids, my house, my cars, and everything I own instantly.

Check the ACTUAL LAW IN YOUR AREA. Be CERTAIN OF IT before you make ANY decision.

Ask this question in the UK Thread. There's a lad up just now (sentencing tomorrow) and I am sure he has kids.
Do you rent or own? That's probably going to make a big difference. Rule no1 tell no one and you will be golden. Keep it away from your kids 100%.

And if you post in the UK Thread. Prepare for banter haha.

Not a problem. It's why we're here. (Well, some of us anyway.)

On another note, take about 90% of what you read here or any forum with a grain of salt while doing your grow research. Much of it is regurgitated bullshit that has absolutely no value to you at all.

Keep it simple.

DO SOME RESEARCH.

Spinal issues are awful. I have them. I've had 5 disc in my neck replaced, 4 in my back and 5 in my lower back that they can do nothing about. On top of that I've had cancer and lost my left kidney, two ribs, part of my pancreas and a lot of tissue.

I'm a pretty fucked up individual physically, but you wouldn't know it to look at me. The reason? White Widow. Read about it. I think it would be right up your wife's alley. It's easy to grow, easy to cure, easy to smoke and man, your pain just washes away and becomes more of a feeling of tingle. What's more, you don't get couch lock where you just sit there staring into space. You can get shit done.

It's strong stuff too. It doesn't take much at all. A few puffs in the morning and I'm good for 6 hours. A few puffs in the afternoon and I'm good until the next day.

I grew two plants last year and got 8 32 oz large mouth mason jars full of nothing but buds. I've given some of it away and still have 6 left.

It's that strong. It doesn't take much at all. So that would also work well if you find you're at a one plant limit. One plant will last your wife, especially if she's never smoked before, a year at least if done properly.

Just food for thought.

Best of luck to you and your wife.

In response to the statement about bud rot and then buying a suit and some chemical spray... don't fucking do that... please!!!! He's trying to make medicine not poison!! Don't spray shit you need protection from, then be so stupid as to smoke the thing that shit was sprayed on.

A oz of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Be proactive and use your neem oil in veg and up to week 4 of flower, keep your humidity in check as much as you can, and cut away any mold you find as soon as you see it. Don't be greedy and try to save something like mold.
I've come across too many people that think mold isn't a big deal, or that it's no big deal to smoke chemical filled bud. It's a big deal, don't do it!

Problem with White Widows is getting your hands on the older genetics. There are a lot of imitations out there of White Widows. There are so many good strains and also a lot of cbd based strains as well. Do a lot of research before deciding.
