What nutes for my soil? So confused....

I use GH 3part. Simple and can be used in soil and hydro systems. Also you can easily mix different ratios for veg and flower or tweek it ...for your plants requirements. ;)

I'm spend money like a rock star. I've not found any better than Organicare dry fertilizer, pro mix, spring water in five gallon buckets. Nothing has performed as well in near a decade for me.

I think I'm going with advanced nutrients.
I've used Advanced for 16 years. From long before they had the pH Perfect technology and now with that you don't have to even think about pH. RO water is best to use so I can't vouch for it using tap water as the minerals in tap water build up in the soil after repeated waterings and can throw anything out of whack. Think of the crusty scale that builds up in in your coffee maker and realize that also builds up in the soil.

Because of the nutes in the soil you use you'll want to start off with 1/4 strength no matter which nutes you decide to use. GH is owned by Scotts Miracle-Gro/Monsanto so anyone recommending those obviously doesn't mind supporting companies that have fought long and hard over the decades to keep pot illegal.

AN makes a line of organic nutes too if you want to stay more organic but the regular nutes work fine in soil. Add some molasses every couple of feedings to keep the micro-herd happy and you should end up with some really nice bud. I usually just use straight ProMix HP with the AN nutes but after experimenting with the HP and ProMix potting soil 50/50 I bought 5 big bags of the potting soil to keep doing that as the plants really seem to like it. I was feeding nutes at my usual levels and overdosed the plants this first round but kept good notes and will be toning it down for round 2.

If you get nothing else from AN get some Big Bud at least. I like the powdered form as it keeps for years and have flowered using other things for comparison and there really is no comparison. Big fat colas with lots of crystal every time, every strain. Beside that I use Rhino Skin, CalMag and some epsom salts all at low doses.

Good luck and good growing!

Thank you. Are you mixing all the same time in 1 container? Or separate?

What do you mean salts are salts? Sorry I'm new to growing and trying to learn as much as possible
Synthetic nutrients are made from salts.

Meaning that most nutrients have more or less the same stuff in them.

Read on the back of the bottles and it will give you the ingredients that they derive the npk from.

Some are better than others. Do a little comparing and you will see what I mean.

I personally grow organic but prefer Dynagro nutrients if using synthetics.

View attachment 3892812 Growing in FFOF/HF mix with 30% perlite. I'm going into week 6 of veg and it's time I add nutes, but which kind?

So many options..it doesn't have to be organic but I'm looking for suggestions....
Lots of good answers to that question. I'll chime in. Having used FFHF Before I go with a small scoop of GH MaxiBloom Powder(Lucas Formula) per gallon. I have really good low TDS tap water that consistently PH's at 7.0. I do this every other watering after approximately one month from seedling. Sometimes I water every watering layer on. Just depends on what I see. I get nice dark green leaves and barely any yellowing at all. I use solid purchased genes as well. That's all I do. lol. Growing weed is simply stupid easy lol.

Disclaimer. Though I get top notch quality results. I do realize there are many other methods that may increase yield or whatever but, mine is just the lazy easy chill way to grow top shelf fast easy and get a nice harvest.

Mix it all up in one jug. Start with the silica, Rhino Skin in my case, then the Micro and the Grow and Bloom can go in any order. Dash of CalMag and/or epsom salts. If using another brand of silica, (you don't have to use silica but me and the plants like it), the pH should be lowered to around 7 before adding nutes as the silica is quite caustic and can raise the pH to 9 or higher. Makes great pH up too.

Never mix one nute directly with another as they can react together in their concentrated forms.

Over priced. They prey on the uninformed and want you to buy 30 bottles.

Salts are salts.
That's why I always inform people that they don't need the whole line of expensive and often redundant supplements they make. I'm going to use hydro nutes regardless and I'd rather buy from a Canadian/American company that I trust than from one that has actively opposed cannabis cultivation since it's inception and makes general hydroponic formulations rather than ones tested with and designed to grow pot.

Plants still feed on the same salts when they are grown in organics too but the bugs have to work to create those salts. That's why "cooking" organic soils is such an important step in getting a real super soil. Gives the bugs time to break down the organic matter into a salt form that the plants can use.

If I used soil like FFOF I'd be more inclined to use a more organic nute for feeding but soils like that aren't available here unless I want to drive 5 hours to the big city to get them and that ain't happening. :) Shipping would cost more than the soil is worth as well.
