NOTHING is on trumps radar except trump. He doesn't have a policy position in his entire being. He is a stack of lies, paranoia, bully, and attention whore.

This is Sessions. Trump will go along with it because it also happens to do something that IS important to him, screwing with anyone who didn't vote for him. And, all you have to do is look at states with relaxed MJ laws and see who they voted for.

The only "policy" that he will emerge with is revenge and retribution. Everything else is a vehicle.

This should be a surprise to NOBODY. I can hate Trump for being unfit for office, and letting people like Sessions set policies way beyond the pale. Trump is a tool. Get used to this.

The only problem with this is it isn't just trump. It's all the republicans in the house and senate, as well as at the state level. These are THEIR policies, not his. And giving gerry mandering and the lack of progressive turnout in mid-year elections, the house and senate will be just where they are now, if not more red.

You can play around the edges with presidential orders, but they don't amount to a lot. The actions of the DoJ do matter, but those can be changed by a new admin, however unlikely that is. But legislation can be nearly permanent. And they own the whole ball of wax.

However bad you think it will be, it will be worse, and 90% of it you may never see because nobody will be reporting on it.
