Bagseed CFL Stealth, MAX LST

Gettin no love out in the main grow journal area, so I figured I'd show you guys. She got stunted BAD early on, but came back pretty well. I'm keeping the main stem LST'ed to wrap around my pot. It's my first grow so i've hit a few bumps, but heres where I am at now :-P

Box is pretty much 2 feet wide, 2 feet tall and about 16" deep. Her whole grow has been with 1-2 23w CFL's (red's at the beginning, blues in the mid, now goin back to red's). She has pretty good node spacing all things considered.Just got her grow big a little while ago, and I have a few packets of cha ching and open sesame for the upcoming weeks =D

Then I was wondering if this is a problem. New growth is SUPER skinny.

Today is day 1 of flowering, I may pull a clone or 2 from her if I see a branch I like but I will be playing it by ear.

Thats not very much light. You should see about getting some higher wattage bulbs. Anyway, that plant looks nice so far... but the buds won't be very nice with the lighting you have right now.

I have more light available, but I'm fighting temps I have a carbon filter a buddy and I built as my exhaust, but it it severely restricting the airflow. I like it because it blocks light and cleans the air coming out so I dont want to get rid of it. I think I'll just give it less carbon to pass through (it passes through activated carbon 3 times, i'll try bringing it down to 1 time so there is less restriction).

*EDIT* I forgot a pic of the box, so here is one from an earlier stage. All the walls and bottom are panda'd, 92mm intake and 92mm exhaust. (and that is the carbon filter lying on the ground behind the plant.

yes, in that pic its just sitting behind it, but it actually mounts in the upper left hand corner in the rear. I had it out right there to see how much better the air flow was - a lot. =/

What are you going to do about the exhaust/carbon filter/temperature situation? Get a more powerful fan?

I might actually for now remove it, she really isn't smelling ATM, but once she does I've been thinking about reducing the amount of carbon the air passes through (look up 3 posts =D)

Is that a computer fan attached to the filter? Just wondering, cause if you're already fighting temps with 2 cfls going, you may need a fan with a higher cfm rating, even if you drop down to 1 carbon layer (assumming you're going to be adding more light). :leaf:

Yeah, thats a computer fan attatched to the filter, thats the exhaust. Right now the pressure buildup is so significant I can hear my intake fan change RPMs drastically when I close the door of the box. In fact I think I'm going to go drop it to 1 layer right now, i'll get pics to show you guys.

OK I'm a jackass. The exhaust fan was flipped around. I dunno how TEH FAWK I did it, as it used to work, but whatever i pulled the exhaust setup, pulled it in half and low and behold, the fan was trying to blow IN. No wonder I heard the intake fans RPM's drop when I closed it, two equal fans fighting each other LOL. Anyways problem is being solved as we speak, and the pics will come later/tomorrow!

Alright so pics as promised. Lets see what we got.

The carbon filter when it is removed

Inside goodness :-o

Shortened and installed with fan blowing correct direction =P

My new sweet stuff =D Haven't even tried it out yet, but it sure looks yummy.

ENHANCE.

That is all, time to get to bed so I can get to CAMPIN this weekend wooo!

I don't know if it's normal, or what, but I can hear my exhaust fan RPM's drop whenever I open the door. Then again, I don't have an intake fan, just the exhaust fan in one hole (no filter or anything), and another hole at the bottom for intake. An intake fan would surely bring in fresh air faster, maybe I should put one in . . .

Anyway, that filter looks pretty cool. I hope it works better for you now. :weed:

got back from a badass camping trip last night, and she did well without me =D

Leeguana, do the RPM's drop as your opening the door or once you open the door? If it is as you are opening it, that makes sense because you are making your box have lower pressure, until the door opens and regulates it, but if its dropping once the door is open that is wierd, and I dont understand why that would happen.

Chicken, no thats not from mine its just what I have =D

I guess I forgot to mention, I put her into flowering about 5 days ago, and when I got home from my trip last night I checked her out. FEMALE! Damn i'm excited about that one. This strain must be like impossible to hermify. Been over 100* NUMEROUS times, been dropped out of her party cup (when she was young) once, gone through a couple whacked out light cycles and still a female! Anyways onto a few pics I snapped =D

The first is a pic of her hairs, 2nd is her alternating nodes and 3rd is her top =D ENJOI!

I know I'm super suprised at how well its doing with the light =D

Yeah the camping was badass, but commiefornia isn't allowing fires right now (atleast the el dorado national forest), so it really kinda kills a little bit of the spirit of the trip but we made it sweet without.

They are pretty strict about the camp fires (the rubicon has sheriff wranglers, and the trail I was on i've heard has rangers that hike it), and this is the 3rd trip i've taken this summer with no fire, it sucks.

But yeah about the carbon filter, I wanted something that had easily replaceable carbon, and I could attatch a fan to so thats what I came up with. A few ABS adapters, a peice of tube and some screen. WALAH!~
