Sorry, I was just throwing it out there. I've cut aluminum siding on a table saw before, while it generally cuts like butter, occasionally it has a tendency to want to kick back. Some people work with what they got ya know?
So is a scroll saw the only kind of saw you have? I am a welder with over 20 years of working with metals of all sorts every day and I can't imagine a worse tool for making a nice presentable cut in a thin aluminum heatsink. I mean honestly I would use a hacksaw before a scroll or band saw.
That is pretty fucking cool!You can get those nice carbide strings for a scroll saw and cut some pretty insane patterns in metal. I know an artist who does this by hand with coins.
Who said anything about a scroll saw? You do know what a band saw is, right?
Before you start questioning what I know about tools why don't you read the post I responded too.... clearly says the dude wants to use a scroll saw. Go troll elsewhere.

A miter saw.... I can't imagine an easier tool for the job.
Exactly, there is no additional prep work needed. Just makes sense to me.
