your excuse for logic demands that everything must be perfect to have any merit at all....Your inability to compromise..
UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE OR NOTHING AT ALL
Aren't you the one who says all Democratic party candidates must agree to a set of principles, one of which is foregoing legal campaign donations from corporations and PACs? Also isn't a policy of universal healthcare for all part of that checklist for fitness to run for office as a Democrat?

Regardless, I'm hearing a lot of carping from you about how terrible the Democratic party is because they didn't pass universal healthcare coverage when the didn't have enough votes to prevent filibuster to stop it and so worked with others to arrive at a compromise that has worked well if not without issues. I'm wondering how this squares with the idea that you are such a compromising character.

You're the one trying to justify the denial of people's right to assemble, not me.
No. That is not at all what I am doing. If there were a need and there weren't other groups who had legitimate complaints WRT being treated fairly, I'd probably sign up. Please. Argue MY point, not the one you'd like to be arguing.

WHY IS A MEN'S RIGHTS MOVEMENT NEEDED?

Slow down and move your lips as you read that in case it helps. Then answer. Thanks.

Ahhh, so now you're sitting in judgement of who does or does not have the right to advocate for their rights.

Rights are for everyone, silly rabbit.

NO exceptions. You don't get to judge their legitimacy. It isn't for you to decide whether they have a legitimate cause.

Should they get more rights than others? No. Should their rights come before others? No. But that doesn't mean they don't get them.

What a strange and self serving bunch you are...

Sigh. You don't even understand the argument being made. I'm done with you. The tedium level is just too high at this point. Enjoy your men's rights activism. I hope men finally get a fair shot. Wear your pink penis hat in health.

Really? NONE? That's a sweeping statement. I disagree;

This one turned out pretty well.

The point I'm making is that identity politics without context leads to dead ends.

I'm aware that men's groups have been used for ill purposes. But then, cars have been used to rob banks. Is that a good reason to make everyone walk?

Y'all are coming perilously close to trying to decide amongst yourselves who can advocate for their rights and who can't. And yes, I have a problem with that kind of thinking.
You are accurately conveying in that picture why many here object to a "men's rights" movement. Your picture that you say represents a men's rights group is of the leaders of the nation at that time. No women. Also very white. You are holding up an example of a white male dominated society. So, yeah, that's what's wrong with a men's rights group.

The feminist movement didn't take men's rights away. It freed men too.

I'm still waiting for @Padawanbater2 to explain the difference between men's rights and women's rights.

Perhaps it's because you aren't explaining yourself- or maybe you're just in the wrong on this one.

I'd be happy to engage with an honest person. The problem is they're not honest. You say you're against a policy of the Israeli government, they label you anti-semetic. You say you support medicare for all, they say you're against the ACA. You say you support all people's rights, they label you as an MRA.

This is a carefully crafted tactic they employ to distract from the actual arguments being made because their arguments are not strong enough on their own to defeat them. None of them, not a single one, can carry any of their arguments through to the end without employing it.

This does seem to be a common theme.

And it's just as dishonest as it is destructive to productive discourse.

you've literally called yourself an MRA before.

but anyhoo, let's talk policy. what do you think of bernie sanders, who is under federal criminal investigation for bank fraud, copying hillary's idea of a public option and 55+ medicare?

i like that policy! bernie is smart for adopting it.

don't derail us with your histrionics about bernie sanders' rape-fiction writing past. bernie sanders, who is under federal criminal investigation for bank fraud, also has good policies. like the one he stole verbatim from hillary and is now pitching instead of universal single payer.

Hey why do you hate Bernard so much that you would jump straight to histrionics and accuse him of stealing Hillary's policies? Just because he's under fraud investigation doesn't mean he's a thief! Besides, memes.

Men's Rights! I'm going to buy a pink dick hat.
Odd that I went there. I just noticed that my white privilege allowed me to assume the dick hat should be pink. Although pink pussy hats are universal, pink dick hats are not. I scratched "pink" above and regret including it. Wow. I'm ashamed of myself. Even those of us with the best of intentions from time to time fall prey to the social conditioning we've all been subjected to. I can only imagine how that conditioning feels on the other, non-privileged side.
