Did Trump not say, he never has asked God for forgiveness ever?. Would that not by a pretty broad definition make one a non-Christian? His religion is worship of Trump and he will play people to get them to join. Maybe he will become Jim Jones and America will be cleansed.

Whitebb, I identify with almost all you say. Have you ever visited the Episcopalian Church? I love it, don't go all the time but they are great folks. it embraces ancient Christian tradition but is beyond broad minded. They have openly gay clergy, female clergy, are very into environmental issues, and just plain progressive, they are far more into handing out sandwiches to the hungry than making sure ones doctrine is pure.

I think when most ppl slam Christians they are intending the narrow minded bigoted loud mouth folks that use Christianity as a cover and excuse for their cold heart... when they quote Deuteronomy more than Matt mark Luke or John there is a problem.

Sadly evangelicals, fundamentalists and a sect of Catholics that imitate the first two have turned "Christianity" into an arm of the bigoted GOP... A Vatican Publication has just warned Catholics to knock that shit off...

Dude...

Who cares?

The point is to provide wisdom for the next generation.

Isn't it?
I just thought a could share a bit from my point of view. A Christian that doesn't fit the mold everyone wants to put all Christians in.

I understand the bible has conflicting versus. I think that's the point. If you use those texts to justify shitty actions then you fail.

If you take the good from those texts and help others with it then you pass.

Yin yang. Karma. Good and evil. That's what it all boils down to.

Be kind and compassionate to others.

Karma isn't Christian doctrine, I believe because the idea of consequences for one's actions makes it hard to manipulate the gullible into warring against one's enemies.

When I go to meet my maker, I will go with a clear conscience; I will have helped make world a better place, I will have tried my best to feed the poor, I will have spoken out against profiting from misery. I will have refused to build machines to kill or helped legitimize them. I will NOT go with karmic debt upon my soul.

This in itself condemns me to walk among those who do not make millions. My self respect is worth far more than mere money or comfort.

Yeah, I'm not really buying it.
