Similar to a drivers license firearm owners need to be "licensed" if you will. Photo, fingerprints, background checks, trained in safety, handling, storage.
Further I think ALL gun sales and transfers should only be FFL to buyer.
Those are some fairly reasonable, simple, easy to implement changes.
