Nutes for DWC?

I've been using AN nutes in DWC since '01 and never had nute related problems because of the nutes. I made a lot of mistakes in the early years. 
No worries about pH and with RO water I just change the nutes once after the stretch so save a ton of money not tossing out perfectly good nutes every week like some nOOb fresh off the boat.
I just use the 3-part, Rhino Skin for silica from the start once the plants have a couple of healthy nodes. Big Bud for phat colas and lots of resin. Any old CalMag will do and sometimes a dash of Epsom Salts. Got a free 500ml bottle of Bud Factor X to do some side-by-side comparisons with this winter to see if it would be worth paying for. That's it.
Just don't follow AN's nute charts or you'll fry your plants.

Do you know what's in your well water and how hard it is? If high ppm and high alkalinity you'll have to change your nutes once you have added back as much water as your pail/tub/rez holds to prevent the build up of the minerals in your water from throwing everything off no matter what kind of nutes you decide to use. The pH Perfect technology in the AN nutes will handle pH rise better than most. Our water comes from a dugout on my property and is around 400PPM and pH 8.4. We buy RO water for drinking so buy extra for my plants as I ain't growing shit with that water.
Getting my own RO unit just for the plants as it won't be sterile but the plants won't care. I'll just add a few mls of 29% peroxide to a 5gal jug to kill anything in it and let it aerate for a day before use.

Not too hard. but the pH indicated it's a bit alkaline. PPM is livable. Some folks got 400ppm like our town water or my dugout water. Would never use either.
If town water contact your supplier and you should be able to get a free water report emailed to you. If they ask you want to know 'cause you want to raise fish or brew beer or wine. None of their business anyway.
