Because if datasheets were the thing to go by Cree would still rule the roost.what does that mean regarding the Vero?
That Vero you are looking at does look interesting and is worth investigation.

usually year-old data is pretty much obsolete in this industry. That said cob manufacturers havent come out with new gens since this thread (most are on 16-20 month cycles)So do you guys still stick with your original statements from a year ago!
Where is the next Luminus generation on cxm22 ?usually year-old data is pretty much obsolete in this industry. That said cob manufacturers havent come out with new gens since this thread (most are on 16-20 month cycles)
i think luminus is the best bang for the buck followed by vero and citizen
cree is a distant also-ran
Anyone? Is this a good system for a 4x4 tent area to replace a hps 600w. Any help be great as can't make my mind up between cree, vero or citizen lol
Citizen CLU058 1825 grow light with 4 COBs mounted on a Cooliance heatsink. Size: 80 by 80 by 20cm Weight: 10.5 kg
Power Supply: Meanwell 2 x HLG-240H-C2100. This supply provides an onboard dimming function. Total LED Power: 480 Watts (560 Watts from wall socket) Total light output: 4 x 18,321 = 73,284 lumens PAR Readings (measured directly below the COB):
It will work ok but ideally you would want more cobs spread out to cover a 4x4. You can get away with 4 cobs for a 3x3 but for a 4x4 I would definitely get more light sources happening - at least 6 or even better 8.Anyone?
OK thanks buddy, are the 058 citizens as good as vero 29 and cree, in your opinion or all about sameIt will work ok but ideally you would want more cobs spread out to cover a 4x4. In my personal opinion I prefer the Veros. Specifically the Vero 29 C.OK thanks buddy, are the 058 citizens as good as vero 29 and cree, in your opinion or all about same
can you share why they are better in your opinion? In my personal opinion I prefer the Veros. Specifically the Vero 29 C.
Ease of use (SE), availability, sheer weight of documented grows, I like Bridgelux as a company etc etc. I am sure the Citizens are fine but he asked me my opinion and I prefer the Veros. If I was going to build another light right now, I would use strips but for COBs the Veros are king imo.can you share why they are better in your opinion?
in terms of flux per watt the vero Cs are in between the clu058 and the cree cxb 3590. But thats only one factor in chip selection. vero Cs are essentially identical to citi gen5 1825s at all wattages, but they do have the built in holders and conenctors and such
