It sure won't help your bulb, and if enough hits at once then you could be picking glass out of things, especially yourself if your head is under the light.

If you let the soil dry up a bit, it promotes root growth, as they search for water.
The way I know when to add water is by how light the pots are. After watering, pick up a cup and see how heavy it is, so you know the weight difference. The cups will be really light when it's time to water.

What I've discovered is that the foggers don't raise the rh much in an environment with an exhaust fan. However, if your fog is breezing your plants, then they are benefitting from it. This is a good thing, because you really don't want to be adding humidity to your growroom or house, just your plants.
All depends on how much flies around, always safer to have the glass cover in the way.

Difference between water vapor
And water droplets.
You would think everyone would know not to spray water on hot glass.
Like taking a hot glass outa the dishwasher and dumping cold water.
I've vented direct winter air theough my bulbs for years never one pop.
I've misted t5 bulbs while foliar feeding 0 broken
Bulbs.
Now i wouldnt try misting a hps bulb .
But i bet you could run 99 rh and not blow that bulb.
Its extreme temp differnece that breaks bulbs when water hits them from expasion and contraction
And water droplets.

I should have some pics of mine shortly pal.
My inlet is on the opposite side to me exhaust so the mist kinda gets pulled over the ladies but like JSB99 said with my exhaust on full humidity gets to around 50 so I slow mine down an that helps a lot.
An hopefully when I flip them I'll be able to turn the fogger off an the exhaust fan up to get humidity to 40%

Never underestimate human stupidity, and you have to remember the possibility of condensation sitting on the bulb during lights out, leading to droplets on the bulb, etc.Difference between water vapor

If you're in a humid environment, better to have it waterproof and not open.

If droplets form on your lights you got big humidity problems.
I thought it might be a problem being directly venting to extreme cold through my light.
But it went for years with no issue.
I almost bet if you had water on the bulb it would evaporate off during heat up in a few seconds.

I knows that, worked with enough lighting over the years BUT other things like the bulb construction have also changed in that time. And since growers don't run their light 24/7 then the bulb is weakened thanks to the repeated on/off cycles. Every drip would accelerate the weakening at these spots, and you get where that would end up.If droplets form on your lights you got big humidity problems.

And add in how some would overdo the misting, and you can see how the potential for something going wrong is there.
Best to be safe rather than sorry, you might have used them for 15 years but I've had the joys of sorting out the after effects of "It'll be fine" for 30 years and, believe me, I've seen things done by people who don't have a clue that'll make your pubes go straight and your knob twist like a pig's tail.

That was challenging! Those are two different colas, from the same grow. The colas actually outgrew the hood, and I had to mount CFLs up in the corners to finish the grow! I think they took around 16 weeks. But, that was probably the strongest weed I've ever smoked. I really want to grow some again. Maybe someday I'll be up for the challengeFriend,

Turning exhaust fan off will do the trick. Lol...Larger humidifier. Trays of Waters. Wet towels. Misting the air. Many other things can be done but it’s always best to find something that will give you a constant temp and constant rH. You don’t want drastic fluctuations.Great info.

Any tricks to raising the humidity? I have a humidifier in the tent that my wife donated to my cause. I don't think it is very powerful.
Also, I read somewhere that the humidifier can mess with the carbon filter (like clog it up?). I am not sure what to think about that. Seems like a lot of people use both with no issues.
I will crank the humidifier up to full and turn the exhaust fan off for now. I don't think I need to run the exhaust at this point anyway. There is no smell yet and my intake fan seems to be keeping the temps down.

Higher rH sometimes/most likely will make the filter basically useless. They don’t work well with high humidity.
Without the exhaust fan tho, mine would shoot up to 80-90% rH in the beginning. Now I run my fan 24/7 and I’m averaging 48-55%, temps 69-74 average.
