Sure, I used 1" angled aluminum for the sides and 3/4" flat bar aluminum for the middle frame. The flat bar at 1/8" thick is a bit flimsy so I recommend 1/4" thickness. @bizfactory is right, aluminum is pretty easy to drill through. Normal drill bits will work but the metal-specific drill bits get through them faster.Hey @HeadbandKushMan I'm about to do a 4'x4' tent build with 9 (3x3 frame, a bit more spaced out than yours) QB132s but the one thing I'm not sure how to do yet is the frame. Can you tell me what materials you're using for the frame? Is it "angle aluminum"? Can I drill the holes with a regular drill or did you need a drill press? What you've got there is beautifully put together.
I was originally considering using PVC because it's easy, but I'd much rather use aluminum if I can learn how to work with it.
