Our money goes through 3 printing processes. Reverse first, then the front and finally the front overprint (serial numbers and seals).
They have been known to print the reverse and then fuck up and get a sheet mixed up.
The absolute king of error notes. And worth 4 figures.
I've seen one at a coin show once. You just can't stop looking at it if it's in your hand.

Mismatched serial numbers, worth $600 each in uncirculated condition.
(These came out of a stack of 100 delivered to Fort Bragg in the late '50's, every one mismatched)
Overprint on reverse.

Star notes are replacement notes for the sheets they fucked up and were caught by quality control.
Low serial number and the star make it worth quite a bit.

We used to print Hawaii on the money there before they were a state.

You'd have more than that. That note sold for 25K at auction because they call it a double error. Double overprint AND mismatched serial numbers.
Some baby boomers have too much money. The ruined the collector car market too.
