@ruby fruit what do you know about over-wintering chillies? I know you chop off all the growth but wondering if its that simple?

I'm thinking of keeping my scorpion bush around for another run and might give it a go.
I normally use those 3 or 4 shelf greenhouses that come with plastic covering so you can keep an warm in there
But the thing back but leave a nice shape and enough leaves to think its still going
See if you can place em near a heat source outside like hot water system etc...or if n it in a greenhouse I've cut them back far enough to fit a 2 litre plastic coke bottle over them and they have survived
Ive also had them in a plastic trough before with glad wrap over them and a couple holes in plastic..be creative man its fun doing it...I tend to use my tent to overwinter nowadays

cool thanks mate, I'm going to see what I can do with this one. we only have a couple frosts a year and I can whack it next to the water heater in a homemade greenhouse. If I cant sell the piece of shit car in my driveway I'm thinking of using that as a greenhouse for legal stuff over the cold part of the year

I know a guy that made a grow room in an old Pantek truck he had out the back of his house, was a pretty cool setup

its a wagon so theres shitloads of room in the back and big door for access. I even had the foresight to line the back with that rubber matting shit before it shat itself so it's pretty insulated. If I fold the seats down theres room for a winter garden in there, I just dont want to fill it up with mould if I can help it
Doesn’t it have air con lol
