again thats just a guess. and your bar is mars and kind which arent considered to be in the realm of acceptability these days
im sure it works and grows great bud but again the attributes you are giving it really have no basis. pull a mars apart and put bigger fans in it and you might see the same results.
did you ever consider when you replaced your (4) mars 300s with this light you were stepping down from 640 total watts to 330 total watts? of course your room is going to be cooler

I have no skills... This is like rocket science to me... I just want the easiest way to grow indoors and not have to move my plants around because they're too close to the lights, feel me?
I have the same size tent, I am using a cob led light made of 4x Citizen 1212 3000k Gen6 90cri run by a hlg-185h-1050A driver. Each cob runs at 37w for a total of 148watt.
I like these lights, they grow well + the driver let u dim the light lowering the watts for the vegetative stage, you just need a screwdriver to get a linear dimming.
Timber sells a premade light, check it out. It is plug and play.
You can build a similar light for less money while learning something, you can source parts on several online shops like Cobkits.
On ledgardener.com you can find many tutorials about this topic, a complete tutorial here.
edit: by going diy I think you can stay on a budget of 200$

Dude , what's your beef with me man, I came here to just say that from experience that Mars are not good lights. Not to hijack this thread and banter with you on my light. Yes you grow and you learn, I don't need 640 watts of led for a 39" x 39 " tent and no.. a Mars is not on par with my current light. When did you decide that Mars and Kind and those like it are not acceptable lights. Please inform the thousands of these light users that their grows are no longer acceptable in today's standards according to you your Hineass ,Dude you really are a condescending asshole..seriously lol. And your a supposed business man... flake.

again thats just a guess. if you tried 330W of mars next to 330W of your light results might be a lot more similar than you expect
when it was understood that they are more expensive than, and less efficient than the HPS lights they are designed to replace.
plenty of people using CFLs etc to grow great product. if it works for them thats awesome. I was just saying that with what we now understand about lighting and efficiency i would not buy that light in 2018, i would buy something that i can at least quantify the efficiency of. And i do speak from experience, i have not used your light in particular but i was using UFOs with their awful inefficient slug diodes when they came out in 2007.
I'm sorry youre taking it so personally. all ive ever said is you have no idea how efficient your new light is so you have no metric. The fact that "it grows good bud" and "seems better than twice the wattage of mars in the same space" literally tells us nothing. Anything ive discussed here Is just fundamentals, sorry. It has nothing to do with you or your light personally. I would literally say the same thing about ANY light on the market that doesnt provide any actual specs.
You can easily grow competition-quality cannabis with your new light, or a mars, or a CFL rig, or a COB. Youre just going to use a lot more power to do so for the less efficient lights. and efficiency is the #1 reason people are moving towards LEDs, so its relevant.

You say mars is not on par with your current light. Really? It uses the same tech!
I looked at the so called specs for your light... nothing other than dimensions. That alone tells me the specs are sub standard.
It's unfortunate you feel the need to swear at some of the most knowledgeable lighting people here on RIU.

So basically, what all of you are saying is that LED grow lights like mars-hydro and the like are played out? Cause I'm looking at this growled 300w led light for $49.99 on Amazon...I'm thinking about using this with the lights that I have...

The light you are using is the same as Mars and Kind. Yet, you continue to deflect. If you had the same car but one got 30mph to the gallon and one got 60mph to the gallon, the choice is obvious.
Your light and every other light using slug based diodes like Agroled, Mars, Kind, etc have terrible efficacy less than HID even. Probably somewhere around 1-1.2[umol/s] /joule and even the cheap citizens hit 2.3umol/s. Taking that into consideration, a cheap citizen array of diodes [cob] is 52% more efficient, watt for watt, when comparing just 2.3 to 1.2 umols for instance.

im just another guy (one of many here) who understands the fundamentals. from there we can build specific knowledge that is useful. Without an understanding of the fundamentals, its difficult to participate in a meaningful way.
dont take it personally but we see half a dozen threads a week of "see this light grows weed it is great!" threads. We are quite a few years beyond that so anecdotal evidence like that doesnt really advance the community's understanding of anything
