Went to Quebec last summer, could buy herb on the street with no hassles, art everywhere, entire streets shut off for people to walk around and party, very cool city.

Legal for carded medical users. Not legal for anyone else, yet.

However, in most parts of Canada nearly anyone (adult) can walk in, show ID, and buy whatever the fuck they want. Most police departments are turning a blind eye due to coming legalization. I live in a city of 90,000 and there are many dispensaries with great product, on average.

The new legislation will also allow for home grows (4 plants, max 1 meter high) but there will be rules about security/safety - keeping it out of the hands of minors.
