Paid in chips? You're not kidding, are you?

I mean, I know their chips are good. But, they don't make up for actual money.
not kidding. A palette of chips got delivered to the office and nobody could get in the bathroom for about a year cos it was floor to ceiling with chip packets. Cant stand chips now

I dont blame you. I think I'd be over them too. Guess that's why I won't touch fast food all that often. I know what their meat patties are made of.

@dopeonarope a mate gave me an old blurple LED fitting that I’m going to retro fit some new LED’s into. It’s about 300mmx250mm and I’ll be putting new cooling fans in aswell what would be a good fit strips or cobs ? I want as much light as I can get from it not concerned about efficiency as much as output

My kid needs to eat just as much as anyone else’s. It pisses me off because it’s the people that have money are the hardest to get it out of,if I know some cunts broke I’ll work something out with them even if they can pay for parts and fix me up for labour when they are doing a bit better but nothing I hate more than doing a job at some flash house and giving them a bill and they say “I can’t pay for that for a couple of weeks” say that before you get the work done it’s a bit different but they are the cunts that end up with paint stripper poured over their car or concrete poured down their sewer pipes
or holes drilled into the hull of their boat moored at Nelsons bay...

veg light?

If cobs, vero 29s (70v) pump out a tonne of light. Are you going to replace drivers or try and use whats there already? that might dictate whether you need to stick with 36v cobs or 70v. Strips are also a good option for that footprint as you could could fit 6 pretty neatly. If you can cool it well (1 fan per cob would be needed if you want to drive them harder) you could jam 6 vero 29s on there depending on how big your fans are and whether you can fit the same number as cobs on that footprint.

Other option which would probably give you better coverage overall (and would also need less thermal management fuckery) would be the samsung F series strips. You could fit 6 of the short ones on the existing sink with just a little breathing room around each strip and just have the top of the case open and a normal circulation fan blowing over it when its in use. If you wanted to drive them harder than is efficient then you'd want fans to vent the sink (unless you had a decent surface area on your heatsinks then a circulation fan would prob be fine anyway).

I'd prob go strips to be honest - it will be bright as shit and there's less worry of things like fans failing. The short f-series are 279 mm long and 40mm wide so they'd be close to a perfect fit if you used 6

I’m not going to use anything other than the frame. It will just be for keeping some clones over summer while I do the outdoors and start the indoor up in March/April

strips would be the go then I reckon. makes it simple, safe and it'd do a good job. cob builds are more expensive with their fan and sink needs and wouldnt really have much of an advantage over strips if your not growing things with much height

gigs lives. take the tops first and let the lowers go a bit longer. You can raise em a bit higher to the light when the tops are off so they get more decent light
