I grow in 2-2x2's with the 135W QB288 V1's and im extremely happy with them. Ive had them about 7 months and ive been able to put out a few crops. i measure my harvests in pint jars, which are usually around 18grams. The first run i got 7 jars, about 1gpw considering these 135's are actually 120 right? The second run i got 9 jars, well over a gpw by any measure. My current lights are both 3000k. What id like to know to improve my harvests is, how can i upgrade my lights to improve the spectrum. I assume i need something lower for my flowering tent, i saw the red add ons but i dont like that. Would the QB324 be better for my flowering tent? its seems really inefficient compared to the samsungs? im definetly going to upgrade my veg tent to the qb288 V2. I really wish there was a version of the V2 with maybe some cree reds mixed in. Im also trying to figure how to actively cool these things because they got hot as fuck. im thinking of switching to the new chilled pucks.

Check this guide out, use the drop down at the top where it says QB project to look at other board versions. Those guides have driver option lists and stuff. Itll depend on which board you use and how you want to wire them..
Also, would this quantum board V2 driver would be enough to eventually power 4 boards possibly?
I am reading and learning this makes life fun for again I thank you guy in advance and appreciate there is a site like this one

Ordered the 2 288 v1 with slate 2 kit.
Also picked up HLG-240H-C2100B thinking it was the one you adjusted output with the screw and ended up getting the one with leads for a potentiometer.
I really didn't want to have to solder anything and hoped the rapid led cased potentiometer would work with my driver.
If it wont work can i cap off the leads and run without one?

You can also get cheap digital dimmers that have screw terminals, only downside is they need a power cord too.
I use some that have a little remote that controls them and has preset dimmer levels and stuff.

God Damn TESTERS ( Black Afghani x Blueberry ) were a fail ... herm city.
Those two were drop kicked like mangy dog right into a dumpster....
The only survivor was one of my crosses ( imagine that ... lol ) .
HSO BLUE DREAM X MEPHISTO TOOF ... done a grow or two back using femmy pollen on the Toof plant.
She is throwing a heavy Sativa dominant structure ... thin , branchy and tall. She is in her stretch mode and is easily over 4 foot in a 1 gallon airport. She’s got good size for a gallon.
So I expect those dog turd shaped nugs that I usually get when I pop heavy Sativa.
Figure a good 11 week plus grow .... which is fine since she is all by herself. No LST NECESSARY since she is branching out well. Will begin some bloom next week , close to stretch end.
I DID give her a drink of Open Sesame today .... and light kelp mist.
Airpot dries pretty quick so I check the pot weight daily. Got a feeling this will be a blue dream variant more than anything else ,
but hey ... a smoke sesh is a smoke sesh .... lol
Pays to make your own gear sometimes ..... just sayin.
Still got the solo seed pops at the ready for other quantum and will throw 18/6 on those.

Those rapid led pots are crap. I bought 5, only 2 worked. Don't waste your money and soldering isn't difficult
They run full power with no dimmer attached. I started buying the a versions but getting to the top to adjust is a pain, the b version with external dimmer is the only way I'll go now.

Fry’s electronics or some “ electronics parts store “ will be the best source.
Grab a 100k linear pot and be done ....
Some growers are modding theirs with resistors to change the percentage range. But a simple 100k will just fine ... it like under $4 .
Soldering is ridiculously easy ..... PLUS ... LATER you can add a switch bypass to allow you the best of both worlds : DIMMER POWER CONTROL OR MAX POWER ON .

This is what I mean .... I’m slowly working on a new big rig and it will have two independent remote drivers with dimmer PLUS switchable MAX POWER ON functions . So each set of QBs will have an infinite range of power settings all based on what I am running and pulling at wall for each set.
Such an easy addition to do. And later I can either ADD more boards and swap drivers but still have this same control feature.

So here's how I set mine up. Very happy with it other than I wish I would have used bigger L channel.
4 rows of 4x 304 boards, each run by it's own driver. Heat sinks are bigger than the board, so the edges of the heatsinks sit on the frame so I can slide them up and down for fine tuning. Had to get creative with how I hung them, still not quite happy with it. I think a few 2x4s and some pulleys may help.
I have pairs of drivers spliced together so only need 1 power cord and 1 dimmer for 2 drivers. They are split to each side of the tent. 1 dimmer controls left 2 rows and the other the right 2 rows. I can control them separately or use the remote to work all of them at the same time. Remote has 25, 50, 70, 100 presets and step by step dimming.
Have the 4 drivers on their own 15a breaker going to that 2 outlet timer.
The 2 dimmers are plugged in and stay powered all the time. When power comes back on to the lights, they stay at the last set level.

Ayy me as well, lots o dremel experiments tossing plexi/windows in cases, n not all ended well lmao. That and water cooling back when cpus ran as hot as gpus, custom rad/fan mounting etc.
