Btw, In a 2x1, even a HLG 100 will make things pretty warm in there (if you close the dresser doors). Your budget seems pretty tight, have you calculated the money you'd need for all the fans you'll need as well (intake, exhaust, etc)?

I haven't planted anything yet but yea about 100$ on fan and filter 80$ on nutrients if I get the qb 100$ or if I get an led like this

And I don't plan on planting anything until I get my fan and filter at least cause I could always veg with cfls

I wouldnt waste my money on those cheap leds, they might be ok for growing lettuce but you need more for canna. You would be better off with 150w hps. I think it is timber sells quality built cree cob led lights, otherwise rapid led has parts and kits for a 3 cob light that would work for your space and dont cost much. If your really up for some reading, i know quantum boards are all the rage nowadays. I was around when supra was king of the led section, and learned a lot about led lights, pretty simple really, but go ahead and post those lights in the led section and see if anyone recommends you get them.

Yea I figured as much I'll have to make up my mind to many god damn options!!>:(
Not that necessarily is a bad thing but even after all the led talk I'm still leaning records the hps it's just I've seen amazing bud grow with 150w even though many people say the 150w hps isn't worth it

I started with a 150w hps a buddy gave to me and some cfls but quickly upgraded to a dimmable 400w hps ~100$ with bulb at the time, in a 2x3 closet with an air cooled hood. I will add my first grow produced 3 oz of good bud, 2nd i got 5 oz with the 400w. Now i get minimun 5oz off a plant but, I wouldnt worry too much about all the choices, just get some seeds in dirt and you will figure out the rest along the way. You got a fan and filter on the way right? Cfls work great for the 1st week or two.

I am not affiliated with GH but have ordered stuff from them before. The 150 is within your budget, but if you can afford it the leds will be a better investment for the long run. If you have some buddies you can hookup with your fire ass shit, it will all pay off in the long run and as long as you can keep doing it you will find the dough to buy some fancier shit in the future. We all started somewhere.

Alright so after a lot of research I wanna run a biy cob the only thing is I have no fucking clue on how to set one up any suggestions and ik for sure I wanna run cob

Alright I got my reflective material in just need to light proof it with some light traps and a seal of some sort around the door and we all good

Need:
Light
Better fan and filter
Lightproofing

Light was just put together to find light leaks but it's a decent bulb so I am gonna MacGyver a reflective shield for it and use it to veg my seedling and I start

Not an exact temp but close enough after running everything for a couple hours temps haven't varied much so I'll let it run for a bit longer then call it a rap

Nice. You should also buy a fan to move the air around. Hot, humid, and stagnant air is a recipe for mold. And your humidity levels will spike when the lights go out.

Yea I'm gonna put a triangle board about half way up in the. Corner and put a 6in clip fan on it so when I scrog It will blow across the canopy

I at least wanna grow using and led setup under 100$ now that I looked it up I don't think I can build a good enough cob setup under 100$

I don't wanna feed you false information so i'll let someone else chime in with the lighting stuff. But, when it comes to lighting, it's best to save up the extra cash and invest in something that you're gonna be happy with. If you browse through the lightning forums, you'll see a bunch of posts about people buying the wrong lights. It makes you spend more money in the end haha. As for wattage, I think 125w will work just fine.

Yea that stuff too, and the skill and patience and tools to assemble the stuff. I learned alot building my first cobs, there was a thread with a really inexpensive build on here thats great for getting your feet wet, when it comes to mounting leds on heatsinks, drilling and tapping and all that fun.
