what parents, and the idiots involved, decide to do among themselves, before they involve the law, is one thing. once the law becomes involved, they're going to prosecute, they could care less if the minor involved was consenting or not, and they usually don't care if the older person was aware of the younger persons age. only if they were shown decent looking false i.d., saying the younger person was of age. otherwise, the older person is pretty much fucked

In Texas, 16 is not the age of consent with a man as old as the gun nut was. He was 30 YO. She cannot consent to have sex with him. He's the adult and completely in control of where he puts his dick. Once he fucked the under-age, he was subject to this arrest.
