What people are misinterpreting is what kind of investigation this really is.

It is NOT a criminal investigation. It is a background investigation.

As such, the scope of the investigation is limited in that it goes to Kavanaugh's background, not everybody else's. It also means the FBI is not "free to pursue" any lead they get. They are limited in that the lead must pertain directly to Kavanaugh's background.

In other words, if somebody says they know somebody that has pertinent information about something Kavanaugh did, then the FBI are free to take a look/listen to that and put it in their report.

If somebody says something about Dr. Ford, or Mr. Judge, then the FBI isn't going to care about that because they aren't the subject of the background check, Mr. Kavanaugh is.

So in that regard, yes, the investigation is limited in scope. But that isn't down to anybody dictating anything form a political end. That is down to the type of investigation and subject of the investigation and nothing more than that.

How naive

The FBI and DOJ and SC answer to no political party in charge. They have ALL been deep state for decades, with our rights dwindling by the day. And who pays for their absurd side shows, why the american people of course
that's because they along with wh counsel, WORK FOR US.

i have it on good authority there is no such thing as deep state..also, no one is going to save us when the time comes.

sleep well tonight.

It's sad we don't have Legal representation for the other 23 potential nominees that have provided dedicated life long service to their country.

They are getting shafted.

There's your white privilege.

"limited in scope", yes but not just limited to all things Kavanaugh. They most certainly limited the FBI's "background" investigation into Kavanaugh's past. They limited the people the FBI may contact. They limited areas for the investigation (e.g. not Safeway records). They are silencing accusers who submitted affidavits too -- FBI may not contact Swetnick, another accuser who was denied the chance to give testimony at the Thursday hearing too.

‘"I am in receipt of text messages from a mutual friend of both Debbie and mine that raise questions related to the allegations," Berchem said in a statement to NBC News. "I have not drawn any conclusions as to what the texts may mean or may not mean but I do believe they merit investigation by the FBI and the Senate."

Berchem conveyed the contents of the messages to the FBI twice, but said she has not heard back as of Monday morning. In a memo, Berchem reportedly wrote that Kavanaugh "and/or" his friends "may have initiated an anticipatory narrative" in order to "conceal or discredit" Ramirez, according to NBC News.

...

Berchem, who is a constituent of Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democratic member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, reportedly contacted the lawmaker's office last week.

"After we were made to jump through several hoops that delayed our moving forward, it became clear that the majority Committee staff had not turned this summary over to the FBI and, in fact, had no intention of turning it over to the FBI," a Blumenthal spokeswoman said to NBC News. "With our assistance, Kerry submitted her summary to the FBI herself."’

You can’t reuse the same insult/moniker/adjective that was applied to you first. It just shows you’ve got nothing, and that you admire the person who insulted you.

That's retarded. UncleBuck always breaches proper etiquette and immediately jumps to the triple dog dare.

If we had an actual leader of all Americans, Trump would have withdrew Kavanaugh just based on obvious bias and nominated someone more fit... unfortunately we have a divider and there is no relief in sight
That's really it in a nutshell when it all comes right down to it.

What kind of man would continue to support a guy that walked into a Senate Subcommittee and went off on what looked and sounded like a drunken angry rant?

Well, a president that does the same damn thing on Twitter every day, that's who.

Had that happened under Obama, Barrack would have dropped kicked his ass completely out of Washington.

Ever consider right now America has exactly the leader it deserves?

What else could arise to the top of the cesspool and moral abyss that is modern American politics?

I think it's safe to assume almost anyone still willing to run for the highest offices has a thirst for power that exceeds their morality and wisdom. Well that's what you got in 2016 and things don't look to be improving...

So, you’re Schizophrenic. This is a demonstration of clanging, a symptom related to the Schizophrenia spectrum, psychosis, and mania.

“In psychology and psychiatry, clanging refers to a mode of speech characterized by association of words based upon sound rather than concepts. For example, this may include compulsive rhyming or alliteration without apparent logical connection between words. This is associated with the irregular thinking apparent in psychotic mental illnesses(e.g. mania and schizophrenia).[1]Gustav Aschaffenburg found that manic individuals generated these "clang-associations" roughly 10-50 times more than non-manic individuals.[2]Aschaffenburg also found that the frequency of these associations increased for all individuals as they became more fatigued.[3]

Clanging refers specifically to behavior that is situationally inappropriate. While a poet rhyming is not evidence of mental illness, disorganized speech that impedes the patient's ability to communicate is a disorder in itself, often seen in schizophrenia.[4]

Cross posting is bad etiquette and a symptom of OCD.
