DIY with Quantum Boards

They use the exact same LEDs. The difference is the voltage they run at. The 304 is a 100 volt board, the QB 288 is a 50 volt board. #04 puts out as little more light, the 288 is easier to driver match. Both are excellent boards. I like the QB 304 but the difference is very minor.

I understand that the 304s were the 'original' 288s...Before they made them more 'efficient'...and used fewer diodes to make it into the 288 version...

Ive got 4 Qb 304s running in a 36x32 closet which is plenty of light...

Im starting to think about building a 2nd flower room which will require a second light.

I think for the second room I would use 4 288s IF I made another four board light.

But I'm thinking I could just split my 304s up, and use two 304s and four 120s in each flowering room and still have more than enough lumens.... any thoughts or suggestions?

My last Sour Diesel grow I did had two 304 s, a cheap 300 watt blurple, and an hlg 65 kinda just stuck in the back.... i got 9 oz bud and two 1 gallon bags of trim off one plant.

I don't have any way of measuring lumins,PAR,or anything, BUT...
I HAVE been 'getting away' with being 'under-powered' , running 480 watts worth of QB 120s in a 3 x 5 area , and having to turn them DOWN sometimes...
I 'm currently 'getting away with' 600 watts worth of QB 132s in a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 ft area, and had to turn the volume down on those,too..
And with a slightly 'mis-managed' grow going right now, I'm looking at a good pound or better , coming from each tent soon...
On a well managed grow,though, two pounds per tent is very do-able, I think...

That's already in the works. Similar to the HLG 35 red supplement board. For real UVB that is proven to increase potency look at Sola Cure bulbs.

That’s exactly the reason I did it this way ..been there done that.

I’m at 50 watts per foot at the moment of mostly 2 to 3 year old COBs and older Cree white or red and white led panels. I run 10/14 though but that much in Boards must be super bright.

I'm already thinking about down -sizing my setup ,so I could have it in the middle of the shed and be able to get all around it to work...It would mean just running half the plants I've been running, and training them a LOT better !

Friday night follies .... sprayed “ ANTI YODA “ chem around toilet.

Anyways have three areas burning Quantum with 2 areas flipped to flower , last one will be next weekend.

First ..... 3x3
Peyote Blue ( HSO BD x Peyote Cookies )

My pollen chuck experiment looks like a good one so far .... plants are strong .
Took clones and they are growing separately...

Played with environment to dial it more .... and phototrop looks on target ( super praying ) .
Ducted an 8” exhaust at 6” top vent , moved inlet passive to window instead of room air.

50 ish RH and 81 temps on oscillating air only. I actually dimmed to see if load temp would stay where I wanted. So interestingly I adjust power to running ambient temp and leave it .
Power is 340 ... QBs set at just under 65 watts each and cobs running soft at 35-40 watts each.

Pointing like a cactus... lol.

( Hempy Buckets)

These will be flipped in a week ... still running GH Maxigrow. @5.9

WOOKIE WONDER

Sativa dom strain is really growing out in week 1 of flower also . 38” from topsoil ( perlite ) and is green as hell. Budsites are setting up and has an earthy sweet rub. Did a half Maxigrow and MAXIBLOOM feed during transitioning.....

She is in another area under the WING QB I built awhile back dimmed set at 280watts.

I was just looking at your setup again...
Do you run Autos in there, or just start & end a whole batch of Photos at the same times ?

There’s some regs and a couple of feminized plants...no autos for me,I try to stagger my harvests like once a week,but I had one big harvest three weeks ago, and am in the process of breaking things up.This entire crop is from seed ( greenpoint,jamba labs,lit farms,peakseeds,chimera,karma) having so many cultivars can be chaotic at times.
