Hey Folks

I checked trichomes on upper buds. Showing 5 to 10% amber. The lower buds not developed. I'm hoping to crop the upper buds and then lower the height of the lights and see if I can get a bit more out of the lower buds? I have two questions.
Q 1 ) is the percentage of amber trichomes high enough?
Q 2 scenario ... my lights are off during the day...
Q 2 ) as I am going to crop off most of the 4 plants.. does it really matter if I disturb their sleep/dark?

I did try researching the answer, but no real joy.

1) it’s usually personal preference. My wife likes heady uplifting buzz I like a nice couch lock. Both those have different stage trichomes.
Not sure on number 2.

I think I might wait a bit longer. Until 30% are amber. I just found a rollitup forum. Damn my flowering now ten weeks long. Tick tock tick tock.

10% amber is fine if that is what you want.
Cut your mature colas with the lights ON, don't disturb the light cycle
Leave the rest to mature a little more, it's called a "staged harvest"

First to flush.my EC has been around 1400 the last ten days.

I have a whole room I built for trimming and all that even has its own exhaust fan so it doesn’t smell up the entire house while I trim lol. Before I built it the wife was made the first time I trimmed outside of the grow rooms. So I built a smaller trim room on its also an easy way to get the wife to sign off on new gear lol.
