DIY with Quantum Boards

I went with a can filter 66, went with the original, made in Canada solution rather than a chinese knockoff. Allegedly they invented them so I figured I'd support the innovators. Seems like a decent filter from the reviews, I guess I will smell (hopefully nothing) when its here.

Being legal, I'm not going to jail if it isn't perfect, just a little disappointed.

I almost went with Can but the pellets they use really loses my faith in them.

I picked up a can 100 for $40 local because some of them had fallen over and busted a few rivets. A handful of self tapping sheet metal screws and it was good as new.
So far its been great for me. When I first set everything up I cleaned the whole inside of my tent with 99% iso and you could not smell that shit at all outside the tent. Anyone thats used 99% iso knows how strong it smells. Even if it only lasts a few grows, it was worth what I paid for it lol.

So are the other 8 setup the same way and placed opposite of those? What strain again?

This is a really cool setup! I love the thought of being able to expand or shrink your standing tanning bed depending on the size of your monster plant. Even those bottom buds look nice and dense. I could imagine sliding rails and extending arms mounted to the wooden frame to allow effortless adjusting of size and spacing of lights.

Effectively you are pulling `960W total right now running each 288 @ 60W?
Do you have the power to drive the boards any higher should you need to expand it? If so, how much? I think these can easily go to 135W each.

Yup, I sure do. I was running 8 boards at ~ 115 watts each for a while. I had bought 16 boards just for this one experiment and I really wanted to use them all. The benefit of the 16 boards dimmed down vs 8 higher power is simply the more even coverage. When I was running 8, I felt like I needed at least one more tower and maybe two to get really good consistent coverage.

You're a crazy bastard, and I love it. As much as I appreciate the efficiency aspect of growing with LED, a gratuitous grow like yours is refreshing to see. Looking forward to the end result!

I appreciate that and you clearly get it! I was only able to grow one plant and I've never grown a large plant before. I set out to grow the most ridiculous plant I could...my only regret is that she isn't larger. I won't be winning any grams per watt awards but that's OK. That was not my focus for this.

Woah! Been lookin at quantum boards lately this is an awesome setup!
Gets you thinking would be nice to see a flat vertical scrog on a 4/5x8!
