Hey Lucky Luke, I have a single hood with dual 315w cmh's to give me 630w in a 5x5 tent. This is my 1st go with it and I am pretty happy with it. On my next run I'll remove one of the bulbs for veg, both are just over kill at that stage. They do produce a good amount of heat and you definitely don't want less than a 20" space between the canopy and the light. You guys need to just go led.. power bills in nz are higher than me so led it the way to go.. just my 2 cents.. I’m running 2 bestvas at the moment. They worked great for veg and I’m in the 3rd week of flower.. if I get good results I’m going way bigger and will be useing less than half the watts than useing hid. Plus keeps temps down..

Either good leds or cmh. Cmh is a good option. I’ve been trying a couple of 315’s will more than likely be getting more.
