I did see that one of the locations, under the umbrella of the company, is doing a Cannabis and Canvas night! Like a paint night, but with cannabis!
Well, it took only 500+ calls to get through to the IDPH.
On my 118th call today, the phone finally rang, and I finally talked with someone. Unfortunately the person I spoke with had no good news, and didn't seem to have a lot of information or answers. He did tell me that my application is in the system and that there were no problems with it, but when I asked if he could give me an estimated timeline, all he would say is that they're dealing with a high volume of applications, and that they're processing them in the order in which they were received.
I also asked what he could tell me about provisional access. His answer was "That's for the opioid program only." He's wrong, and I know it, but I didn't argue. He added that "They're still deciding what the rules will be, and we don't know how long that will take."
Rather than pointing him to the actual rules as defined by law, I politely thanked him for his help and hung up.

Yeah, you'll have a high volume of applications when you slow down on approvals by 50%.
They surely can't be confused about what provisional access is. It clearly says provisional access is not opioid alternatives. Even their rule says that.
Maybe contact Senator Don Harmon, the chief sponsor of SB0336?

Probably about right, but there is no real telling. I imagine there is a fix coming, the new administration wants legalization, the only way they get that is by having a better process.

Illinois is non compliant with emergency rules to relieve IDPH backlogged Applicants with Provisional Registration for MCPP / NOT OAPP. the rule states to qualify , a patient must complete an online application and the fee paid. applications are still 90-120 days behind , with no provisional registrations sent from IDPH for MCPP patients to purchase medicine.

Bummer. I contacted a few of the pro-cannabis ones plus my Senator (semi-pro) about the discrepancy between decriminalized transportation and medical. None got back with me but I figure they know about the issue now. Hope it got passed on.
Looking back through the monthly reports they started out by sending letters. I do not believe they couldn't be sending out letters now.
Even if not for old applicants, I've seen new applicants that did not say they got a letter, or anything from any dispensary.
Up yonder, that's who we're talking about being told provisional is opioids.
