in a democracy, each persons vote actually counts....whoever get's the most votes wins......that is NOT the case in this country...the electoral college is a body whose sole purpose is to make the popular vote meaningless. they may have other excuses for it's existence, but that's all they are, as far as i'm concerned.
local and state politics are a little more democratic, it's true, but the big one? not so much

Yup, the system has it's issues. Plenty of them. They can turn a close election. The EC is a mechanism that favors small states and was used to game the system last election.

We will replace Trump the next time we vote for a president.
