IPX/SPX for HTTP ???? Good luck with that service. Much better usage for only LAN within the office not WAN...but I'm sure you knew that.IPX/SPX or another routable protocol that fits in the OSI model.
Your turn, explain how we would use TCP/IP without an internetwork...
I wasn’t even suggesting you were wrong with your statement or even the conclusion you imply. But if you insist... Much of both technical and medical advances are a results of war, of the will to power. Which without governments there would still surely be.
meaning ...you got nothing to say
HTTP is part of the TCP/IP suite so that’s a rather poor example. There are zero technical obstacles to develop a hyper text transfer protocol over SPX, just as any other application layer protocol. Sure, scalability was an issue, but that was true for earlier version of tcp/ip too. In fact the still widely used v4 is an extremely and inherently flawed basis for both public and private networks that still costs the economy billions a year.IPX/SPX for HTTP ???? My point we use government ideas and projects everyday. To say we don't need government is kind of stupid and would lead to chaos and a stoppage of developments.
I’m a socialist when it comes to healthcare. But, you’re making an arguing from ignorance fallacy. Just because you, or we, don’t see possible alternatives doesn't mean they don’t exist or cannot be created by other means. Surely, despite the false dilemma you paint, you don’t really believe the government is the only one funding medical research.are you against government funding medical research ? Who would pay for such research if government did not ? Please cite names. Thanks
I suspect that you erroneously consider me a deist.

I can appreciated the government and her people for the good it can do for the people. I think those who say the government does nothing good are incorrect. Needs improvement in some areas. It was an example. I’m not seriously suggesting IPX/SPX should be used instead. It’s however ridiculous to suggest we need governments because only they can develop the best scalable routable protocol.
The point is, it's just as “stupid” to suggest we need a government for technological advancement as it is to say we don’t need a government at all.

I have seen chaos and anarchy and it is not a pretty sight. .
I have never been for the draft...but I would suggest people like you be the first to goDo you think people should be drafted to "protect freedom" too?
That's not the message taught in Genesis. We can read Genesis and derive our own interpretation as you apparently have done. That's part of the message in the story of the fruit from the tree of knowledge.
