Topping Critical Jack AutoFlower - Dinafem

Topped two with great results. Very fast growing, strong AutoFlower strain.

Topped them as soon as they grew their first pistils.

Highly recommend this strain if you are looking for an easy to grow AutoFlower that responds well to topping.

Photos? Had some freebie sweet seeds auto jack one stunted after I topped it but the other one enjoyed it, end weight was similare

I will post some pics soon. They are almost done.

What is a typical yield I might see? Not sure what to judge by here.

They were just growing so incredibly fast i figured i would try it

I don't think there is any such thing as a typical yield. Too many factors to account for. Light, ferts, soil/hydro, grower talent and more. My very first grow was a dinafem auto and I brutally beat that girl up, and I mean she was UGLY. And yet it still gave me over an ounce of unbelievable smoke.

Dinafem is one of the top 3 breeders to go with when your are doing autos. I have never been disappointed by one yet.

Autos are forgiving. Or most are.

The key to bigger yields with autos are plant straight to final pot. At least 3-5 gallon. Use veg nutes til the end or at least until stretch is over.

A lot of autos respond well to topping and it increases yield on them.

Thanks for the post. I am going to take a shot at some auto's in my rdwc for my next run, and topping has been a big research top-ic, haha. The plan is to top them once just like the photo's. When I topped my photo plants, I saw no slowdown or stunting so I am hoping the same for autos. Never grown them so I don't know. Yet.
Yield, I think is a matter of a ton of variables. A ton. Keep em healthy and you will be happy.

I think the big difference with topping auto's is you have a smaller window to do it in with the shorter veg time. Doing it a bit on the late side really hurts. I am doing my first run with FIM'ing and I am loving the results so far. Google Faded187 Fim instructional, and check out the auto's he's producing. It'll definitely give you something to think about.

Nice. My first instinct is to wait until there is five nodes and top it to three. At least that's the plan.
I am counting on the growth rate I saw in the rdwc to be to an advantage with them.
Scrog is something I had success with and might try that as well. Any thoughts on a scrog?

I topped when the first pistils were showing and they did not slow down at all. First one was good but my second one has enormous thick colas now. Here is my first one. It is drying right now

Once sprouted they went into 7 Gallon pots immediately under a 600 Watt HPS

96 Grams from the first plant which was over dried as I was away for a week and could not check in on it. Overall impressed with the yield!

Second plant is drying currently and will probably be over 100 grams I would think

Second Critical Jack Auto was 98. Seemed like more.
My HSO Blue Dream Auto was 118.
Total of 312 grams with three Autos
how many days did it take from sprout to chop time???why I ask is I have some beans of that and have tried it befor but can not rember how long it took from start to finish time.
