Newbie PH question

Not to sound stupid lol...but I dont quite understand. My SOIL I am using (including nutrients) is at a PH of about 8 (maybe like 7.. I have PHed my water to 7 in the past, and added it with success, but not anything very impressive.
Wondering- do I equivilate the PH of soil into my figure I come up with OR just water I am adding to soil? Mathematical equation vs. Not lol? Please help! Thanks!

Depending on the soil you shouldn’t have to ph. Whether it was back when I ran roots organic or any other commercial type soil I simply pour my well water with nutes mixed in or simply top dressed. Now I build my own soil and still don’t worry about ph unless it’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 9 an 10 or 5 or lower I’d just get the microbes running and simply water.

What’s your soil and what kind of nutrients

Soil is Roots Organics and nutrients are Roots Organics Uprising (foundation, grow, bloom) amendments + earthworm castings

Yah if it’s any greenfields or original it should buffer just fine. Top dress as needed and let her ride.
