Young plants stems very soft/bendy. T5?

First time starting with a t5, happy with the way they look so far but the stems seem very soft and bendy, couple are flopping over from the weight of the leaves. 18 days from soaking seeds in water/rhizo. Don't seem to have stretched too much. Added silica yesterday and they'll be needing a feed tomorrow. Should I move them under a MH 400w? Was hoping to wait until they were transplanted in a pot which holds a decent amount of water, as I'm hand watering them and not on hand 24 hours a day

I only see one "bent" plant, likely moving towards the light. Do you have a fan on them?

You probably dont need to move them till they are physically bigger than the light they are in.

Yeah I have an oscillating fan blowing. Not that they're be t, just the stems feel very soft and bendy. Usually have a little twiggyness to them by now.

You probably dont need to move them till they are physically bigger than the light they are in.

They're still pretty bendy for a while. I don't even start bending my stems until the third node is pushed out strong.

I don't think that anything is wrong with your plants. At that age, their stems are pretty bendy and weak simply because their root system is weak. With that being said, I'd say your plants would still benefit more from being under a 400w MH than the cfl's. More light the better, and they're at an age that they can tolerate it. Just keep plenty of distance between them and the light.

Your plants are not old enough for the stems to harden yet, hang in there, they will.

Haha yeah they were left overs from a caesar salad, nah they're grodan cubes. Image Compression turned them into crunchy goodness.

They responded well to the silica so might just stick with the T5 for now. Have a few goofy leaves though. Weird thing is the 2 plants with the unhealthy looking leaves have roots packing out the bottom
