I know a few masons. One i used to joke around about weird conspiracies lol. He'd just tell me to join. "Its just a hang out with the guys. If youre married for 20 years its great!" Lol

I have never been far enough away from Earth to see it, so I cant tell you what shape it is.

But....other than being told that the Earth is a spinning globe, what in your personal experience has shown you that it is?

Funny how a few idiots watched or read 'The da Vinci Code' and assumed it was all true. What I laugh the most about is how people say it's a 'secret organization' and that we 'hide from the world'.
  • We're in the phone book.
  • We have signs on our lodges telling you exactly what we are and where we are.
  • We invite the public in for dinner.
  • We stand out in the street collecting money for Scottish Rite hospitals.
  • There's a complete directory of every location on the web site.

They aren't "levels". They are pursuits. No one mason of any pursuit is above or below any other. For instance, my uncle is a Shriner. I am a Knight Templar of the York Rite. There is no "level" difference between the two of us. We are both masons, nothing more. The pursuit you choose to follow has far more to do with your area of interest than anything else.

Frankly, I couldn't do what my uncle does. I do help them from time to time setting up and doing logistics for outings, but it's very, very difficult for me to be around those ailing children because I can't keep from crying. Literally. It simply breaks my heart to see some of them.
