3 boards per fixture, each board can run at 150w? so each 3 board fixture can run at 450w efficiently? I can run each fixture with hlg 480 or hlg 600?
Yes, you could. Id use a 480 but my trays arent a full 4 feet. You can use the 600 aswell.

This link is for the kit, id only take the boards. Id use lm561c if youre strapped for $$ but there is also versions with lm301b and added reds but they are more expensive.

Id dealt with rita emails and further details is in the fotop thread.

We tried several similar setups, the maxed out fotops close to eachother all run softly was the winner. Very easy to build aswell, as you dont dont heatsinks. Just frame and connect. Boards about 5 inches apart.

Thanks bud, did you post the link and I'm not seeing it?

I don't mind spending extra cash if I get what I want. I want max wattage I can get at somewhat affordable price.

Thanks for all the help.

Is there any chance we can put this to rest now?!?!? For those whove been with us for some time i remind you that there are several threads about china boards and other threads have been derailed and abandoned by everyone due to incessant chat about should you should you not by them, are they really top bin blabla. This thread is about china board builds, not about why getting them. Anyone building or growing with these show them. Im sure the china versus US discussion can get traction somewhere else.

And yeah, i will show some build soon but unfortunately these next lights will take some time to get up over greens as the grow i consult for is looking at eviction. So frustrating but it means the next grow ill get to setup from the ground floor.
put what to rest...?

its more fun than the QB thread...

you are right about the "blah blah blah are they the right bin..?"

Does anyone here have actual experience growing with Meijiu lights?
I'm running them on a batch Gorilla Girls and Larry Lemon OG.

Day 1 flower:

I'm running 2 x FOTOP 800 lm561c, plus 2 150w blurples (50watt draw each) for added spectrum. Getting the 660nm strips, but not off of Meijiu. Might just get 4 of the new samsung horticulture series strips instead.

Ok another question or two if you don't mind

Can I run these boards up to 240w safely? Will require heatsinking?

I was thinking of running 2 boards per 480 dimmable driver

3 sets of 2 across 4x8 feet foot print

Maxed out at 240 each board I could push 1440 watts?

Is this feasible?

Here's a thread on testing of the FOTOP boards

https://www.rollitup.org/t/diy-fotop-grow-board-280x900x2-0mm-l29-52-xw9-18.960546/

Running a board at 200 watts will give a temp reading 41°C.
I didn't test at 240 watts but it might be ok without heatsinks as long as it's 51°C or lower.

Thanks very much. I think i have a rough idea of what im going for. Finding it is another adventure lol

Is there somewhere on alibaba thats just selling the boards by themselves? or is it all kits with drivers? Or is this where this " Rita" i keep hearing you all mention comes into play?

It seems i would do much better buying drivers from digikey and matching them with the exact boards i want for wattage i want.

Sorry if this all seems like total newb stuff to you guys, i am still trying to learn this LED game.

I am seriously considering ordering these boards tho,My plan right now is either 3 or 4 sets of 2 on 480s , run them at 150w-200w ish but have capability to ramp them up if i want.

Dimensions from what i gather is 35" x 11"? 6 or 8 seems to be max i could use above the 4x8 table.

More boards run softer and using less power at the wall gets the efficiency up, so more usable light with less power. 450 watts from white led is going to give more usable light than a 600/660 watt hps.
Too much light and your plants are going to be fried. Get plant training and environment perfect and forget watts.

I understand what your saying but I am trying to achieve a certain goal, trying to mimick another grower using the same 4x8 setup. He's using 1.4k watts of hlg boards and drivers above 4x8 table

I want to see if I can get similar yield and quality with these lights at fraction of the cost of the hlg boards.

I already own 1230 watts of cmh and hps, would love to see what 1200-1400 watts of these lights can do in comparison to his and mine.

Just purchase the boards on their own and purchase drivers locally.
If you are in the EU or about Leave.... lol try TME EU, for drivers, probably cheapest

https://www.tme.eu/gb/details/hlg-480h-48a/led-power-supplies/mean-well/

I think they pack a max of six boards in one box for shipping.
You can have a fan blowing on them which cools them well.

Send an email to Rita requesting a price for boards only, no heatsinks

E-mail: s15@mei9led.com
I just fired off an email to the addy you listed above

asking about quotes for 6 and again for 8 boards with shipping.

I wasnt sure of a model or part number so i just asked for the fotops quantum grow boards....im such a dolt when it comes to some of this stuff, its laughable really lol
